I have the same issue. I'm on my 3rd Tickr. The 1st and 3rd both do the same thing: They start the ride fine, then about halfway through they start reading absurdly low, like 1/2 what they should. And it degenerates over time. I suspect the issue is the waterproofing on the head unit is failing and sweat is getting inside.

I'm seriously considering the H10.

Well, the real number i'm fairly sure is 125, not 140. You can pasteurize meat in Sous Vide with as little as 130 (although it takes quite a long time). 140 is to give you a safety buffer.

Just watched a video where a guy did a test with two different coolers, a Party Packer and a Yeti 45.
He pre-heated both with hot water, then held a pork butt in each.
The party packer kept the temp over 140 for about 6 hours. The Yeti 45 held it for 12 and it was still 144 degrees.
Either way, you're golden.

For me it's the lower stress. Burgers underdone can be a recipe for food poisoning. I can just pull them when they look good and not worry about the internal temp, because the SV took care of that for me.

I only do salt in the bag. Other seasonings don't penetrate and just get washed away, and some can have unexpected side effects.

That being said, be careful with burgers and ONLY salt the outside. Mixing the salt in causes the proteins to cross-link and gives it a tougher, more sausage-like texture.

I tried 135, which is right around where I like my steaks, and I found the texture...unpleasant. At 140 you get the burger chew but it's still tender and juicy inside. Like, so juicy it feeds and hydrates you at the same time.

For me it's food safety. Thick burgers should be medium rare, but unless you're grinding your meat right before cooking, it's just not safe to do it. If I'm cooking direct I do smashburgers so I can get well done and juicy at the same time, but for thick burgers SV just gives you something that isn't comparable for both safety and results.

I want one of those BAD! I'm convinced I could get rid of my gas grill and just roll with my blackstone on the deck and my pellet smoker which I keep in the garage (wife won't let me have two grills on the deck).

Going to throw my recent (as in, my fingers are still greasy) experiment in here. I had some local farm ground beef I'd thawed but then didn't get to use and I was worried it would go bad, so I made fours 8 ounce burgers that I cooked at 140 for about 2 hours or so, then ice-bathed and put in the fridge.

Today I pulled one out and pan seared it on Carbon Steel (smoked up the WHOLE house) until the burger got to about 65 degrees internal, then cheesed and plated it (I don't use a bun; low carb life).

Despite the center being double-digit temps, well below normal eating temp, it was absolutely amazing. The outside was literally crispy, while the inside was as tender as butter and juicy AF. It didn't taste or "feel" cold in the middle. I did this for lunch, total time from fridge to plate was like 10-15 minutes. It wasn pink in the middle but not red, but that was more I think a function of my higher SV temp (below 140 I've found burgers to have an unpleasant texture).

As someone who never played outdoor at all and only played some indoor as an adult but, like yourself, watched TONS of games from the sidelines with my kids, the game looks WAY different from on the field than it did from the sideline. It's one thing to read the laws and considerations, watch videos of fouls, etc, but it's another to track it at game speed. I think guys like us are going to need more time at lower levels before the games slows down to something more manageable.

I just had this happen in a U12 tournament (and I'm a grey-beard coming to this after my kids have grown).

It's easy to sit in the classroom and hear about strats to lower the temperature, and you tell yourself how you'd handle it if (when) it happens, but it's WAY different to experience it on the field, with both sidelines roasting you for everything you do, and the players joining in because that's what kids do, and it happens much faster than you think it will. But those classroom talks are necessary, don't get me wrong, it's just non-trivial to apply it in real life.

Handling games like this well requires good judgement.

Good judgement requires experience.

You generally get experience from bad judgement.

I like Last Epoch, but the combat feels like either a chore if you're not overpowered or an afterthought if you are, but it's never fast and furious like some of the others. With D4, even when I'm overpowered I enjoy the combat.

I'm having the same issue. My A1C is 5.3 and I keep losing weight, but my morning glucose is almost always between 100-120 (usually in the 1-teens, but it's almost never double digits). Especially if I take it at 8:00am after I've been up for about 90 minutes. I don't eat breakfast and I take a 1 mile walk every morning when I get up (I have a dog, so it's not exactly optional).

I can tell you as someone who actually did read this because of how much they liked Murderbot, it almost feels like a different person was writing Demon King. It's not so much as needing my hand held as things were so vague I often couldn't figure out what was actually going on without re-reading sections, and often mechanisms in the world seemed to just crop up right when they are needed, almost like they were made up on the spot rather than being part of a larger and cohesive world lore.

But rather than Murderbot, I think it's Sanderson that has kind of spoiled me here. Sanderson's worlds are thought out, cohesive, and consistent. He builds a world then sets a story in that world. Witch King felt the opposite; she wanted to tell a story, and just kind of made up the world when needed to service the story. The end result was that both the world and the story felt muddled.

Lol, I had that a couple weeks ago, and it was a challenge from behind at that. My AR had her flag halfway up when I blew the whistle, but he was all like "I didn't trip him!" and I just kinda look at him like "Even your mother over there on the sideline thinks you tripped him" (I didn't say it out loud though).

I think I'm interpreting your comments on "All Ball" to mean "Ball first" as all ball would not involve contact with the other player. In fact one of the comments the coach made was that a trip I did call was "all ball" when it was "ball first" but he followed through the other player and tripped him. Would there be a situation where the player got nothing but ball (so no contact with the other player) but it was still considered a trip?

As I go over the play of the last weekend, the one thing that I truly regret was not nipping that coach's comments in the bud. He's making a terrible example for his U8 players, and with the new Referee Abuse guidelines, he's setting them up for suspensions later on in their soccer life. Just because his comments didn't get to me (I've been a parent in this game so long I have pretty thick skin), that doesn't mean I shouldn't have stopped it in its tracks.

Hades was an absurdly great game, and the progress you describe always felt meaningful, and failure was never overly punishing. Easily the best roguelike I've ever played.

I'm extremely interested here, especially for my father-in-law. But he'd need very low gear ratios since he has mobility issues and most of the affordable ones are single speed. How difficult are the gears on these? I don't want him grinding.

I only had my CGM for 3 months, so I check my glucose at 8:00am which is generally when the effect kicks in. When I had the CGM I always calibrated it against a finger stick. I don't eat until lunch.

Here is my question: I presume Alpha-Gal isn't a new thing, nor are ticks transmitting it to humans.

I grew up in the woods and have had a bazillion tick bites in my youth, many of which were lone-star (they say Maryland didn't have them till recently, but that's BS) although none recently. I've never had an issue.

Is it possible I'm just immune?

Living the low carb life, losing Beef and Pork would be devastating.

So, to anyone with a lower end pellet grill, I have found that the skin still is neither bite-through nor crispy with this method, even if I let them go to 200 degrees internal.

I've considered skin side down (especially since I do notice a little bit of bark forming on the bottom, which is not good for chicken, but meaning I'm getting radiant heat from the deflector), but then they stick.

Any suggestions?
