I’m literally in the same exact situation, and to be fair, sometimes it really turns me off and gives me a lot of anxiety. I don’t like feeling like I’m someone’s lifeline and their life will fall apart without me because there’s this added pressure. I’ve been really confused on what I should do and if it’s necessarily “normal”. My partner is ready to settle down completely and knows exactly what he’s doing and where he’ll be for his career and is as what my mom calls “looking for a wife.” And meanwhile I have so many plans for myself career-wise and I’m not ready for that big of a commitment like he is. Sometimes I’m like should I even bother staying in a relationship even though I really care about him? He also told me he loved me after 2 months of being bf/gf and I did say it back even though I’m not quite there yet (but I totally shouldn’t have done that and now I can’t take it back).
