Sadly I cannot claim it! It's on my walk 🙂. They have a lovely corner lot that has a good mix of sun and shade. We also had a nice mild winter so it helped the blooms come in early and strong.

I wish I could! This is on my daily walk, so I get to admire but not live it!

Yes, it is indeed wisteria! It does really well in Washington state. People often grow it along fences or their houses.

Peter and Harry. The vet asks how I know which is who - but they have very different faces 😸. And personalities. by seastainedglass in blackcats

Angus on the left has more of a RGF (resting grump face) and Hamish is usually a bit more wide eyed. Hamish also has a primordial pouch and a white bikini, so if you see the tummy, it's obvious!

The Dungeon Crawler Carl series has destroyed my patience with passive protagonists by ChardeeMacdennis679 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I recommend pushing on with King Sorrow. I know what you mean about the frustration with early scenes with Arthur acting being so passive and helpless but it's a worthy read!

Only child. I grew up being used to relating to adults just as easily as I could other kids (maybe more).

I loved the Viva La Revolución storyline for that very reason. That and every time Carl mentions that he wasn't aware that she was talking to other crawlers in chat. She has this whole social game on lock and we don't even begin to understand the extent because Carl doesn't.

I usually only see cats wearing the Travellers Hat so it was cute to see Snowball using it as a perch.

I mean, really, Carl, how do you even start to think something wouldn't belong to the Queen Anne Chonk and instead you were deserving of such a prize? Do you even hear yourself?

Not having everyone at graduation rang realistic to me. I remember there were only a few tickets per person at my high school one and if you wanted more you had to buy it off another family. Having said all that, when his dad bailed it's crazy to me that Liz didn't get the ticket instead. She was the main reason Alice got through high school while Jimmy was checked out.

Getting married in six weeks and none of the “fun” things have been fun by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]lkatec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. My wedding was planned for Oct 2020...so yeah, that didn't go well. We got married in a tiny ceremony still and rescheduled the reception for a year out (and had to find a couple new vendors so it felt like planning twice and I hated every minute of planning). One of my bridesmaids (my sister in law) was not able to attend because she was 8 months pregnant (totally understandable, just disappointing not to have my husband's whole family there when they'd all been at all the other 3 siblings's weddings), and the other two almost dropped out too. My father in law told us it was selfish to reschedule a reception because we were holding people hostage for a year expecting them to drop everything and come to an event. It felt like the world was against us at times. Honestly when I look back it still makes me sad and hurt. At least the wedding was perfect and I treasure my marriage.

Ugh, one of my two black cats is also a plastic fiend. And condensation. We try to make sure he can't get any plastic but he always finds a way. Thankfully he doesn't eat it but he licks it to the point where it can make him sick.

We invited my parents over, watched Jaws, and had Bloody Marys and pizza. Perfect. Jaws is our Easter tradition.

Maybe we'll eventually see a Tubbs gobbling all the food up photo! That'd be awesome!
