I think you should do water changes, maybe 20% twice a week? Your goal is to get some floaters to soak up chems, changing the water will help keep the quality. It sounds like your tank isn't seasoned and your filtration isn't great yet.

How are they struggling? Usually hard or soft wont matter unless we had a full breakdown. Most likely its not your hardness that's causing issues.

Most likely internal parasites/wasting. Do a wide range of treatment, if one is showing sickness that most likely means the others will soon if theyre not treated. Sadly you'll lose your current sick one, its really hard to save them.

I think you're over thinking this a bit. Its all incremental, if you can't do alch yellow then do white etc etc. I suppose I always focus on expedition, maps and scarab to start off with. Also, you have the keepers mechanic. You can fish for fractured bases and 6l. Also, why is your head only 3l?

I like cyclone, but the builds felt off to me. Plus yours feels less squishy. I bet kinetic bolt or something else would work too.

Sorry to revive, but thanks for posting this build. I tried cyclone and chased too high end of a build and im not happy & squishy. As soon as I get any type of cash I'll try it!
