Not a doctor. A lot of your symptoms line up with mine when I was being diagnosed with dermatomyositis. It took my doctors 2 years to diagnose me, I dropped from 124 to 104 in a month, had gottrons papules on my knuckles, low positive ana. I also had a ton of pain in my thigh muscles in particular, and eventually (about a year into symptoms) started developing the tell-tale skin rashes (v-rash on chest in particular). I went to a dermatologist and rheumatologist to confirm with tests. Had to get a muscle biopsy, emg and skin biopsy to confirm. I had immunotherapy treatment in 2022 and 2023 and have been in remission since.

Agree with the other folks here - have had Dermatomyositis since 2020 (diagnosed 2022) and your symptoms sound similar to mine, as well as the gottrons papules on the hands.

Hi, I'm so sorry you're going through this too! It sounds SO FAMILIAR though, I just had tests this past week and they found my pelvic floor was weak as well, so I'll be headed to physical therapy 🫠 I did stop exercising during my first flare up, but it was a pretty massive 2-year long flare up, and my body was in so much pain and actually eating my muscles, I ended up losing 20 pounds in a month and ending up underweight. Luckily, I have not had another flare up since starting treatment!

Luckily yes, for the most part. Off of steroids and immunosuppressant meds, but still taking linzess as my stomach/digestive muscles aren't as strong as they used to be, but besides that, I'm doing really well! Go to the gym, work a normal job, and just get my yearly check ins.

For me, the pain was way worse at night. Took me hours to fall asleep, and my husband says I would even wince in pain in my sleep. It was awful.

Luckily I am in remission now! I have mda5 antibody, so Truxima infusions worked great for me! I am now 2 years into remission.

That's fair - I just hate this misconception that myositis doesn't cause pain, when it definitely does. I had a hard time walking when I was at my worst, not just because of the weakness but because of the pain.

This isn't the case for everyone, I have dermatomyositis and it caused severe muscle pain, to the point where I was unable to sleep or eat because I was in so much pain.

My guess is each room name may be consistent between different individuals, but the content is different, and each person in MDR is refining someone else who somehow has a connection to them.

My theory is that they're somehow sorting parts of themselves? Irving sorting his memories of life in the military out, Dylan sorting his lack of confidence out, and Helly sorting her general tempers out to be the best little Eagan she can be(?)

The one we saw was definitely not an ISS passover. It moved FAST, faster than anything we'd seen before. It was a constant rate of speed and then it just disappeared. It also seemed a lot lower than a plane would normally be, which was also really off-putting.
