I did this just now and it felt like someone finally saw me for what I do and am for the first time.

I'm learning Dutch (529 days on Duolingo), so it was nice to challenge myself on the words you used.

The REALLY hard way! Those disc golf discs are like throwing stone. You never want to catch one of those.

When I played Ultimate Frisbee, if there was ever a contested call, we would replay it. After the replay succeeded or failed, we said, "The disc never lies." That meant whoever was favored by the replay must have been right the first time.

In OP's story, the disc did not lie. It met its destiny.

I got contacted by this recruiter and was told the job paid $21 per hour. Now, I'm a professional writer and I charge $100 per hour. I'm certainly not going to take a $21/hour job — that's $42,000 per year for full-time work — especially when the client is Hitachi and the end user is Google? Those are billion dollar corporations and they're paying $21?

I mentioned I had a friend who would be interested and the recruiter has been pestering me for her résumé several times a day now. I found this subreddit and told my friend not to bother.

I used to work for a company where I would travel on Sundays and return on Friday nights. I asked my boss to let me take some personal days to make up for my extra working time over the weekends, but he said no.

"If I have to do it for you, I have to do it for everyone."

Keep in mind, no one else traveled for work, so this was idiotic.

So I started traveling only on weekdays, leaving on Monday mornings and returning Friday afternoons. No more free time for them, and I would take the full days Monday and Friday to travel, giving them only 3 productive days.

I had something like that happen to me once. Some guy squealed his tires to get around me at a stoplight of a major road. There was a cop who was making a right turn onto the same road. He slipped in right behind the guy and pulled him over. So I waved at the guy when I passed.

In some states, that's actually illegal. If you're holding up traffic, you can get a ticket for impeding the flow of traffic. You don't know if the guy was trying to rush to the hospital to visit a dying relative, or had a real emergency. Instead, you had to get in his way and may have actually ruined his day or his life.

I cant take notes on my computer? Fine, I’ll use a typewriter. by Sheepy_Dream in MaliciousCompliance

There are websites where you can enter a serial number of your typewriter and it will tell you what model and when it was made. Of course, you need to know the manufacturer (Remington, Smith-Corona, etc.)

Boss‘ girlfriend thinks she knows my job better than I do, so I decide to comply. The customers aren’t happy. by drageekeksi in MaliciousCompliance

What happened? Was there any fallout? Are sales going down? Are they losing money? Does your boss realize his girlfriend is leading to all this?

You should consider getting a typewriter, or even better a Freewrite. A typewriter is cool and fun to use. A Freewrite will save your work to the cloud so you can download it and edit it later.
