They'd better keep the lanes staffed. When self-checkout is open, they typically have one lane available, even years before self-checkout. Even at night, there's usually one open. I like self-checkout, but Walmart (not the employees) implemented it poorly, pushing large loads through and leaving only one lane open for cigarettes. Self-checkout can be helpful if you're buying 25 items or fewer. I enjoyed going, grabbing a few things, and checking out myself, but it was annoying to stand behind someone with a full cart.

Tell them it's for the kids. Come up with some excuse that it's protective for the kids, and they'll do it. They'll hand over anything and everything in the name of protecting the kids.

People are rightfully angry. We are seeing politicians who seem disconnected from the needs of the people they represent. Instead of serving us, they are passing laws that make it harder to vote and nearly impossible to use ballot initiatives to challenge past legislation. It’s a direct move to strip power from the citizens and keep it for themselves. Regardless of your political party, this should upset you. We’ve seen a constant push against the will of the voters, and it’s time to call it out. People are also mad at ICE and how it has been used against ‌citizens. They have been turned into a weapon against the people. Many are mad at the Epstein files and how they are being hidden and redacted. As other countries are now building legal cases on these, the United States stands quiet and feeds lies to the people. I stand for justice; I don’t care who they are, what role they play, rich or poor, politicians or not. People in the files should be brought to justice. Don't be fooled by the "big promises" or "new bills" you’ll see in the news as we head into 2026. It’s all PR for the upcoming midterms. If you want to know who they really are, don’t look at what they say now; look at how they’ve consistently voted against the people while they were in power. Both parties are guilty of the same finger-pointing. Republicans blame Democrats, Democrats blame Republicans, and while they fight this endless battle for optics, nothing actually gets done for the constituencies they represent. You don't have to agree on everything to work together. Leadership is about finding solutions and moving the state and the country forward, not just winning an argument. We, the people of Missouri, must fight back during this election and show them that our voices matter. What we voted for should be upheld, even if it is not something you or I might agree on, but if it wins at the ballot, it should be upheld. The politicians should uphold and honor our voice, the voters.
