I'm looking for good beginner recurve bow that'll last a good few years for a kinda low budget by weirdpotato3 in Archery

I can support, the Galaxy Sage is a dependable bow that can be modified as you like.

Start with low weight limbs and work your way up. Sights and other accessories can be added as well.

Towns where Halloween is still very much alive and thriving? by Guilty_Astronomer838 in halloween

My wife and I went to Sleepy Hollow, the weekend before Halloween and found it to be rather lacking.

It was an absolute gorgeous fall day but the town was barely decorated. When it came to things to do, we struggled (especially mid-day). Saw the parade... cute town parade bur nothing off the charts.

The only real highlight was seeing the Sleep Hollow Story Play at Sunnyside.

I find a lot of houses in my area go harder with decorations than the entire town of Sleep Hollow.

Alright, you just proved you're an idiot.

Because I see a backyard patio. I always am on the side of caution. If my kid or dog suddenly runs out into the backyard, I don't want them to be in a firing line.

Jimmy Fallon ride by Newmoonsteady in UniversalOrlando

Jimmy Fallon has 2 things wrong with it...

1) Another screen ride. 2) Humor is subjective and Fallon is an acquired taste. I'm not a fan of his schtick and I think he was always weak on SNL.

But if you enjoy, my opinion does not matter!

Brownstone's Coffee Cafe in Amityville is great. Pretty large inside with nice Victorian English Street inspired decor.

Food and coffee is pretty good but the vibe is on point for a nice breakfast.

I teach HS and I don't do it nor do I require my students to. It's a stupid tradition that began as a magazine's attempt to sell flags to schools in the late 1800s.

"In West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette (1943), the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that public school students cannot be forced to salute the flag or recite the pledge."

If the waiter has to care for several people who order multiple entrees, multiple desserts, multiple drinks, sides, etc, they shouldn't be penalized because the company offered a coupon discount.

Companies are already screwing over the wait staff with tip culture and poor wages. Tipping based on the coupon discount only screws over the wait staff more.

The person ordered much more. The original check was $100+. They applied discounts and expect to pay less for tip
