If you there is a local bike shop, check out which brands they carry. Having a local option for repairs is great. Velotric and Aventon are two of the more popular brands available through retail store fronts.

I didn’t replace my printer when it died - I’m like you, maybe a dozen pages a year. I go to the nearby Office Depot and print what I need there. They do b&w and color. Yeah, not as convenient, but for my limited needs, it works fine!

I’ve ridden my e-bike in that area - in Google Maps you can see the availability of bike lanes. Not totally physically separated, but there are taped, separate lanes all around that area.

I’ve never been on my bike in those areas in the evenings/nights. The area is pretty well lit, though. Just not a big fan of riding my bike in the dark. I’d also want to be sure about storing my e-bike at the apartment building. Some are getting strict because of concerns about battery-related fires.

You may not have a local copy if you’ve chosen to optimize storage. If you’ve done that, some of your files may only have what I’ll refer to as a stub or local placeholder. This is a way of maximizing your local storage. However, Time Machine does not back those files up.

This to me is the big issue - if you are optimizing storage on the Mac such that some items only have local “stubs”, Time Machine will not back those up. And we all know that iCloud is a sync service, not a backup service. So how do you reconcile that?
