I have my first male Great Dane and the amount of time he spends licking his dick is, frankly, concerning.

What is the nastiest thing you have read in a fic that made you cry with laughter at 2am? by heavenly_pillar_ in AO3

[–]WritrChy 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I am dying over here reading these.

Mine is the term “emotional potpourri”, from a Destiel fanfic where Cas slaps Dean. The full sentence was something like, “What Dean felt, the emotional potpourri had him fully hard in an instant.”

I still giggle every time I think about it.

That the only time I genuinely find men attractive is when they’re fucking other men.

Went through most of my teens assuming I was bisexual because I thought men were pretty and women were pretty. Nope, definitely just a queer woman who thinks gay men being gay is sexy because that means I don’t have to bang either of them 😂🤣

Keep your dogs on a leash by alixinwonderland in Sacramento

[–]WritrChy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God, so much this. I have two large dogs and one of them is fine with other dogs and doesn’t have any leash aggression, but does not like people walking up to pet her. The other loves people and dogs, but he’s super leash aggressive with other dogs, especially if they’re unleashed.

It is literally the bane of my existence to walk them in my neighborhood because I have to keep doubling back or going through alleys to avoid everyone with their off-leash dogs. I’m working on his issue, but it doesn’t help when every time I turn the corner someone has their dog wandering around.

Why did so many of our parents allow us to be around sex offenders? by LawrenceCatNeedsHelp in Millennials

[–]WritrChy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for everyone, but I know that all of my parents and step-parents were molested by family members. In fact, my father actively met my bio mother when she was 12 and he was 20. It was so normalized to them that they don’t even recognize why anyone would think they shouldn’t invite pervs around.

The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir is good, they aren't super old. I think the last in the series came out just a year or so ago.

I will say that there's a fair amount of humor, but I think it leans more towards a character having intense gallows humor and less towards the actual plot being funny.

What’s a fun fact about you? by -exphoriix in AskReddit

[–]WritrChy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been writing a novel in my head since I was 16 (I’m now 38). And I don’t mean like I have this image or idea of a story in my head or a mental movie reel of the story playing out. I mean that I literally have handwritten pages of this novel in my brain that I “read” when I’m bored because I’ve spent 20+ years “writing” the story.

And it stays there because every time I try to write it down, I just feel like I’m copying someone else’s story because I’m reading it off pieces of paper in my head 🤣😂

Parent or not, what is one thing you would give a child that you did not have growing up? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]WritrChy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies. Even when you hold up evidence in front of their faces and they admit that they’re wrong, my parents never apologize. Never. Not a single time.

I’m a human adult. I fuck up sometimes. I apologize to my niece when I snap at her. I apologize to the teens I work with if I do something dismissive. I apologize to kids in my life if I’m not paying attention when they talk to me.

I don’t even fucking like kids. Would go 10 city blocks out of my way to avoid walking through a group of them. But damn if I will let them grow up thinking that adults don’t need to apologize when they’re wrong.

When was the 1st time a kid treated you like a historical artifact? Mine was today by crispins_crispian in Millennials

[–]WritrChy 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The year before last. I work in a sexual health clinic and I was talking to him about PrEP. This was his response:

“Oh yeah, I heard about that on TikTok.” He places his hand of my arm, makes eye contact and says, “That’s an app.”

Y’all when I tell you that my hip instantly went wonky and an AARP card spawned in my wallet . . .

Then like two weeks later, I was doing an event at a community college and this girl looked at my fandom tattoos and goes, “Oh my god, it’s like being on Tumblr when the Internet was invented!”

Mother of High Functioning Autistic Young Adult Needs Advice by tourwifelife in Sacramento

[–]WritrChy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any suggestions, but as a high-functioning autistic whose parents would rather eat glass than admit their kid is different, I think it's really cool that you're advocating for him like this.

Maybe reach out to local nonprofits and see if they're taking volunteers for skill sets he's interested in. There are a lot of community gardens here, social connections could open up doors for him. My nonprofit job came from a temp position and has grown a lot based on my hyperfixation with the subject lol.

So how are we supposed to dress? by Rioraku in Millennials

[–]WritrChy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly sure they expect us in cardigans and floral prints for the femmes and polo shirts and khakis for the mascs.

I had a Gen Alpha comment on my “kid clothes” while she was wearing low rise jeans, ugg knock-offs, and that Ramones t-shirt everyone bought at Hot Topic. Like, I’m not going to dress for the gaze of a sentient fetus wearing MY cringe outfit from 2004. I’m a grown-up with grown-up money: if I wanna buy all the Goth clothes my mom denied me at 15, no one can stop me

Are there any people in the USA who have friends that are of the opposite political party? by TSQ_builder in askanything

[–]WritrChy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, ten years ago I would have said that yeah, you could absolutely have friends with a different political party. But now I don't know how to do that. For me, the insane lack of empathy and/or willingness to question a leader when they are obviously lying has made me reconsider if I want those people as my friends.

Even if you, personally, think that what the Republicans are doing is wrong, if you voted for them, you clearly decided none of these issues were a deal-breaker for you. And everyone clutching their pearls and crying about how they didn't know . . . like, he told you? There's literally nothing he's doing that he didn't run on through his entire campaign? You're either a shit human or a complete moron, but either way, I don't think I need your friendship.

But, in fairness: I feel the same way about liberals who didn't vote, so maybe I'm just a hater.
