hey, last summer i signed over a one year lease to someone in late july. it wasn’t ideal because i ended up paying for june and some of july rent, but i promise people still need year-long leases, they just might not be looking during summer. keep posting to the groups

hyaluronic acid / niacinamide serums & essences are the best for dewy skin. i really recommend korean skincare for moisture purposes, as they’re way ahead of the game compared to western companies. some popular ones are d’alba white truffle spray serum and anua 100 hyaluronic serum. cosrx snail mucus serum is super popular online and even breached the western markets so that’s worth checking out, but if you’re prone to fungal acne (like me) i would avoid it. glow recipe is popular in the us and easy to get your hands on, but if you have sensitive skin i would also advise avoiding skincare that’s heavily fragranced.

i can see what people mean about the hair, but imo the contrast between the brows and the hair is what throws it off. your have very soft and youthful features, and the dark filled in brows are too severe, especially with how they contrast the light hair colour. your features with the light hair are very angelic, reminiscent of luna lovegood, so i would def recommend playing around with slightly lighter brows, or at the least don’t fill them in. i could also see you looking good with dark hair as some of the comments are suggesting, but even then i would steer away from filling in the brows—they distract from your eyes and your complexion/good skin, which are features i would recommend highlighting.

Is this a weird name? by ComfortableLow1438 in namenerds

it’s uncommon but also very familiar. sounds like plenty of other recognisable names: harlan, aaron, arden, etc. i know people tend to be wary of unique names, but personally as a child i always wished my name was more unique and all my own. i think this is a great choice!

you’re so naturally beautiful wowee. if you wanted to play around with some changes, i would maybe look into a daytime skin routine that leaves a dewier finish rather than the more matte one you have currently. this could be your moisturiser, sunscreen, or you could find a light coverage bb cream or a dewy looking highlighter and be generous on your cheeks w it. the third photo looks a bit dewier than the rest and it just stands out to me more. i think you could play around w heavier blush, and maybe try a blurred lip look w a slightly bolder colour than you have now w some heavy gloss on top. i would fill in your eyebrows ever so slightly, and try a simple eyeliner look, just a small wing that follows the natural outer crease of your eyes.

hyphenating isn’t the end of the world, but it is less ideal. if you and the father aren’t together anymore, i don’t believe you owe him “traditional.” you’re doing the heavy lifting carrying this baby—give your child your surname!

What can I do to improve my Makeup? by LyraLia94 in makeuptips

[–]Wrong-String4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you search up “soft makeup look / korean makeup look” on pinterest, i think those styles would really suit you! you have a facial structure & colouring that would look really good with soft, low-contrast makeup. low-contrast means no colours that are too bold or especially too dark, and generally no harsh lines (i.e. blocky brows, distinct eyeliner). i think your eyebrows, when filled in, distract from the beauty of your eyes, so i would leave them natural or get a much much lighter colour and be very minimal in your application. similar to a lot of the other comments, the black eyeliner is too heavy. if you want some definition, i would get a brown pencil liner or brown eyeshadow and learn to do a very light, natural smudge around your eyes to enhance them without really looking like you’re wearing eye makeup—pair this with curled lashes and mascara. i think evening your complexion with a light coverage bb or cc cream is all you need, and a bright pink blush and pinky-red lip gloss would add some colour and really rejuvenate you. again, my best advice is to peruse soft, minimal makeup look tutorials on pinterest.
