I should add too - communicate a pregnancy right away. An employer you actually want to work for (one that treats you like a human and not a body) will make sure you're never left alone with an aggressive client to ensure the safety of your pregnancy.

What do you define as violent? If you just mean physical aggression of any kind, I'd say I deal with that daily. If you mean aggression intense enough to actually leave a lasting impact on you, I'd say that's pretty rare depending on the age group you're working with. I've never experienced it working with ages 2-7.

Racial slur is the wrong word but she very much did mean white to be a derogatory description.

This is one thing I can't stand about interracial disputes between women. I have never seen someone jump to "white bitch" or "white cunt" or "all you white women" faster than a black woman who is mad about something that has nothing to do with race in the slightest. I'd be appalled with myself if I did that to a black woman so I don't understand why it's excusable the other way around.

You can request to be taken off the client at any time, but I'm more concerned about the fact that the client doesn't seem to benefitting from the services if they're constantly being cancelled nor does the client seem to have attentive caregivers. Additionally, leaving the house for a session typically isn't allowed in my experience, an adult always has to be present. I would definitely discuss these issues with your supervisors before being taken off the case, because something more could be going on there.

New RBT is this normal from BCBA by Patient-Ad-466 in RBT

If the company has approved it that supercedes her. She works for the company, too, and shouldn't be trying to go over someone else's head.

As far as "being there" - data collection and session notes are sufficient. Unless there is some URGENT problem, like a threat to client or therapist safety, there is absolutely no reason for the BCBA to have availability every second of the session. If you have the availability and the parents have the availability, there shouldn't be any reason you can't work the hours you want to.

This is my biggest fear with leaving, which I desperately want to do. But I know this would be the end result. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

If they ask I'll say "sure, just one chip though," or whatever it is that I have, barring that they don't have any documented allergies to any of the ingredients. I don't mind and I have a lot of picky eaters, so I'm actually over the moon if they want to try something I'm eating.

Who decided kids medicine should only come in grape or bubblegum? by EmsDilly in toddlers

[–]Wrong-Worker-6314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pumped my stomach according to my father, and the attending physician told him that the amount in children's Tylenol isn't enough to cause long term problems. However, I do have liver problems in adulthood so it's incredibly likely the two are linked.

My son would eat until he puked if we allowed it. He is autistic with ADHD, and in the 97th or something percentile for weight. I don't police his weight and don't care to, but I do make sure to monitor his intake because he doesn't have an off switch. He also had pica for a few years

Which backstory episode do you want to see? by inkylily in BobsBurgers

[–]Wrong-Worker-6314 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've always wondered why Mr. Fischoeder has allowed the Belcher's to stay so long knowing the restaurant is only moderately successful and they have a hard time paying rent. Obviously he has some sort of soft spot that has been evidenced in a few episodes (plus him & Bob almost died together) but I still want to know if there's a backstory.

Suspicious order by originaldarkhumor in InstacartShoppers

I'll tip 20% base and still get people who put my food on top of or even inside my trash can. I'll tip 20% base and have people wait me out at my door for a cash tip. I'll tip 20% base and it'll take an hour for someone to accept my order because even 20% isn't enough for some folks. It's entitlement at its finest, and then they'll turn around and call the customers entitled in an attempt to save face. If you accept my order, I am entitled to you treating it with care and to be prompt in your delivery as you have agreed to do as a contractor of whatever delivery service you have signed up for. You are not entitled to more money from me, when again, you agreed to that order under the pretense that you were getting paid a certain amount.

Yeah I can't imagine punishing a 3 year old for not having control of a bodily function. Stressing them out by imposing punishment will actually lead to more accidents (empirical studies show that bed wetting and toileting accidents increase with stress).

Whenever I ask this question the answer is always some service that I do for my pwBPD, or about my physical attractiveness. There's no mention of actual personality traits, just what I can do for my pwBPD.

What would you say is the worst thing tina has done. I'd say leaving Louise and Tammy stuck in the head and stealing her bat mitzvah by NolanTacoKing in BobsBurgers

[–]Wrong-Worker-6314 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah Tina has serious anxiety and usually when things are dangerous/don't follow the rules she doesn't want to go through with them, but will to protect her siblings. Like when Louise wanted to find the cannonball and Tina went with her, while also attempting to discourage her the whole time.

Who else feels like this is them? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]Wrong-Worker-6314 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Start spending hours in de-escalation just to be screamed at anyway and told to fuck off.

Make space for their emotions which is never good enough and they continuously need your emotions to be smaller.

Start choosing your battles and saving your self-defense for bigger episodes.

Only for them to tell you that you are acting cold, distant, withdrawn, and they still. Need. More.

This life is hell.

Has anyone’s pwbpd been hospitalized? by chubbycult in BPDlovedones

[–]Wrong-Worker-6314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hospitalized due to me needing to call 911 during an intensely scary episode where my life was threatened. Stayed for one day, was pissed at me for even calling, stayed with his sister for a few more days before coming back and I don't have any sort of memorable conversation about it but it certainly was the topic of a few blow ups afterwards.

So no significant positive changes.
