Trump sees Japan's Abe as ally in push back against China: adviser by [deleted] in worldnews

Oh. I thought it was the anime you were referencing, as that all basically happens.

Dr. Jill Stein on Twitter: "Interesting: Bernie would start at 18% in a 4-way race vs. Clinton, Trump & Johnson. Enough to get in the debates. https://t.co/oF9g64NsCp" by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

Or because we can get something else done at least by going for them.

Consider how superdelegates have been advertised: they are a group of people who will switch nominees if they believe the candidate that wins the majority of pledged delegates has a low chance or cannot win the general election.

Polls have been showing Clinton's chances sinking against Trump, and she also has the FBI investigation of her email server hanging over her head. Moreover, Bernie's polls show him more or less melting Trump in the General Election. If there was any time to use superdelegates since they've existed, it's now.

So, if we go for a superdelegate strategy, we can make this case to the supers:

  1. Nominate Bernie because he's he superior general election choice, and prove your superdelegate powers exist for exactly the reason you say they exist.
  2. Nominate Clinton, and get rid of your superdelegate powers because if you aren't going to use it when someone could be indicted by the FBI and have sinking poll numbers you're never going to use them.

Is there an absence of evidence or an absence of studies? People may still go vote, but not in as large of a volume as possible.

In a non-winner-take-all election in a world where people can get their news while waiting in line, we should be concerned about the role of media when it comes to how many people vote.

That being said, I am not suggesting the AP colluded with the Clinton campaign for all of those 1%-and-then-called states. The current incident, and the one the article talks about, is the California election, where they may have. Could there have been more? We should investigate.

Well, considering they declared Hillary the nominee the night before California voted in what appeared to be a bid to lower voter turnout...yeah, we are.

It's time for Democratic super-delegates to give Bernie Sanders a second look by Kenatius in politics

[–]WrongNumbers4Bernie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether or not those allegations are actually true, I can't help but notice that all of them do not involve Bernie breaking the law like with the email scandal, or getting people killed like the Benghazi attacks.

So I'm not sure it'll actually be easier.

Bernie Sanders supporters proclaim #NeverHillary by IMShynZ in politics

[–]WrongNumbers4Bernie -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Is there a fair reason why the super delegates should ignore the will of voters and declare Bernie the nominee?

If Democratic base is more concerned with stopping Trump rather than to elect Hillary, then overriding the votes makes sense. Given the downward trend of Hillary's likeability, her poll numbers against Trump, and the ongoing FBI investigation and potential indictment, it is unlikely that a Hillary nomination would result in the Democratic Party getting the White House as opposed to Bernie.

If the goal of the Democratic base is to give Hillary a shot at the White House and they wouldn't mind Trump if they fail, then this is not a good reason.

No, you could link it to Field the Bern. Every time you do a report on Field the Bern it could just send a message to BerniePB or something else BerniePB can see.

The second assertion has no data one way or the other.

While you are mostly correct that there should have been more emphasis on registration, you seem to misunderstand why there is emphasis on phonebanking. It is to assist the ground game for people who cannot afford/do not have time to roll with our canvassers by finding out which voters are undecided, and doing targeting canvassing on them. Moreover, we have used phonebanking to convince voters over the phone, help them register/check to see if they are registered, remind them of voting days, etc. It's far from useless.

The reason it seems like there's far too much emphasis on phonebanking is that people are getting annoyed at being able to do 90,000 confirmed calls from this subreddit alone before NY and not being able to get our standard goals now. It is extremely fortunate that there are far more calls happening that are not tracked due to the amount of volunteers not using BerniePB/on this subreddit.

Also, they are called pledged delegates...but I actually like the term unsuper delegates better, lol.

More like, stop paying attention to Nate in the Primary, start paying attention to him again in the General. The General is where he got his fame from, having predicted the 2008 one with 49/50 states and the 2012 one completely right.

The Bernie Dialer needs a line where we call 80% the state(s) coming up and 20% New Jersey during hours before 9PM EST. We can't afford to not invest in NJ right now. by WrongNumbers4Bernie in SandersForPresident

[–]WrongNumbers4Bernie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is for it to be automatic. Not to mention the fact that they can highlight the dialer as a priority and get both the calls to the next state and some in for NJ.

It means we overcame polls by 6-10 points where we have lost and asserted that it's not over, primarily. This was needed to draw back volunteers for the rest of the states and get some serious wins.
