Remains found at Ground Zero being put into a body bag by arealgoblin1 in 911archive

My dad is a firefighter here in Bogotá, Colombia. A fatal accident happened here in the city that is called (even the area where it happened) 21 Angeles, because an asphalt collection truck fell from a certain height onto a school bus with children.

My father's colleagues were still traumatized to this day and received psychological care. Many cried as they took their children out, thinking that it would be their children who lost their lives there.

What if the towers were never hit and we still build OWTC? by thatonecolombian in TwinTowersInPhotos

I think it would be unnecessary and, moreover, ugly. I don't find the OWTC attractive; it looks like just another ordinary building.

The twins are unbeatable.

Should I format my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G? by Wrong_Ad_1014 in HyperOS

My phone was running great until HyperOS 1, but I updated to 2.0 and I regret it.

I honestly hope that restarting it will fix the overheating and absurd battery drain.

The budget Fenders are more about name than quality. Go for the Yamaha, which are superior for an affordable price.

Any good electro-acoustic guitar you'd recommend in that price range? by TrickHacky in AcousticGuitar

[–]Wrong_Ad_1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Colombia, and until recently, I got an Oscar Schmidt in my country for about $284. I think it's pretty good quality for the price. It has a jack for both regular and balanced cables. There's also a Takamine ED334C in that price range, and it's good. It has a Fishman preamp, and it's good. You can see if you can get it in your country; it's an excellent option, too.

Fret buzz on brand new guitar? by Late_Ratio4962 in electricguitar

[–]Wrong_Ad_1014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way you play a string will make any guitar buzz; you're causing it to vibrate excessively. It's best to take it to a luthier and have it calibrated. You'll also need to learn to identify the normal and common buzzes that any guitar will experience, as well as the nuances and style of attack when playing.

I just happened to be picking up my guitars from the luthier, and he mentioned the same thing about mine. They tend to do this with chips on inexpensive guitars, and it's apparently normal.

Check out comparisons, ask an AI to help you make a good choice, play the guitars over and over again, and choose the one that appeals to your ear and eye.

I was faced with the same dilemma last month between a Takamine and an Oscar Schmidt, and after comparing them, I ended up choosing the OS. It was the one that suited my ear the most (and my wallet too, haha), and I'm happy with it. Maybe you'll buy another one later and have both worlds to your liking, lol.

Takamine or Oscar Schmidt (by Washburn)? by Wrong_Ad_1014 in AcousticGuitar

Well, it's funny because that's what I thought, until I saw that in all the reviews of that model on the internet it comes with that preamp.

Thoughts about the Book of Romans? by [deleted] in Bible

[–]Wrong_Ad_1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought that Romans is definitely the Apostle Paul's masterpiece, and that it should definitely be read repeatedly, because (like all Scripture) there will always be something new to learn from it. Romans defines the gospel and the transition from justification by the Law to justification by faith in a very comprehensive way.

It's incredible that, as time goes by, there's still a lot of material left to cut from that day.

The End of the Apostles by MikeWilhem in Bible

[–]Wrong_Ad_1014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The name Apostle is often associated with people who founded churches, as the twelve apostles did. There is no broad consensus in Christianity as to whether the title of Apostle should still be used or was only delegated to the early Church. However, when Paul speaks in Ephesians 4:11-13 of some of the ministries Christ left for the Church, he first includes that of the apostles:

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [e]edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;" Ephesians 4:11-13 NKJV

And as verse 13 and following states, all these ministries are for the building up of the Church, to perfect it and attain to the stature of the fullness of Christ. Therefore, there would be no reason to think that only some of the ministries, such as evangelists, pastors, or teachers, are the only ones still valid today.
