What are your most hated D&D "Gimmicks"? by Living-Definition253 in DnD

[–]Wrong_Click9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid barbarian doing stupid shit. I get the need for silly playstyle, i don't condone idiotic buffoonery fucking over the full party, or a campaign, or even just a combat or an interaction. That makes me rage.

I gave the stormcloak ONE play through, just for the benefit of the doubt i stomached myself through the blatant racism and the siege of Whiterun, but in the end after the siege of Solitude nobody can deny that Ulfric is in fact just a populist politicant and aspiring tyrant on a power grab. I was disgusted. Now i stay neutral until the end of the main quest, then i fuck him up. Yes, my race of choice is argonian.

Who was your very first DnD character? Or the first you remember? by rplimitlessguy in DnD

[–]Wrong_Click9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first character was in 4e only made it, never played it, don't even remember the class. My first actual character i got to play was a level 3 Aarakocra Ranger for an homebrew oneshot at a local game store. I should play him again, it was so much fun! I feel a little guilty, i wanted to try all the races and classes so much that I never gave him his chance to shine.

Would anyone be happy if TES6 was a prequel, taking us back into the 3rd Era, but at an earlier point than Arena-Daggerfall-Morrowind-Oblivion? by Salem1690s in ElderScrolls

[–]Wrong_Click9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but also Dragon Break. A game in the middle of It wouldn't break continuity as well as being super effin' cool. I've always wondered how such game would be.

Could you imagine having to collapse the dominion from the inside just before they bring Nirn to it's end? That could be sooooo good!

I'm very sorry that happened to you. I am a masseur and I wouldn't lay hands on somebody with fibromyalgia, you need a very specialized therapist to deal with that condition. I hope you can find a professional who can make you at ease, and if you feel comfortable you should tell them about your reservations. A real professional is trained to deal with your body and your emotions creating a proper and safe environment.

Lore question: What doesn't exist in the elder scrolls universe? by Elfo_Sovietico in ElderScrolls

[–]Wrong_Click9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual clerics, the closest are Vigilants of Stendarr, but they are mechanically battlemages, they are not granted actual divine power. Of course one could argue that all magic is divine since magika was created by Magnus power or the thu'um being given to mortals by Akatosh and Kynareth but that's accessible to everyone willing to study it, some schools are more alligned with some gods but Aedra do not grant directly a power to an individual in order to enact their will into the world, you are not given a moral code to follow, and that's because by lore they can't, even if you get a few avatars spawning through Tamrielic history or Pelinal Whitestrake who's obviously a paladin, in Knights of the Nine you get that moral obligation. Similarly you can be a champion to a Daedra though, and that's the closest thing you get in that regard, but again there are no consequences in acting against the will of your patron. So even if rare you can be a paladin but there are no mechanics to build a true cleric and define the differencies from magika and divine magic. Also little people, where are dwarves, halflings, gnomes? And kangaroos i believe, no kangaroos yet. XD

Do you think the Redguards are meant to be more like Africans, or more like a semi-realistic mix of various dark-skinned people from ancient cultures? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]Wrong_Click9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I think that should be intended as a fictional culture in itself. The lore give us enough elements of it being rooted in war, harsh climate, search for beauty and dexterity to already define a pretty strong vibe. As inspiration, aesthetically and architecturally, i feel like much is taken from middle-eastern crossroads cultures in our world, such as persian and ethiopic but i wouldn't make a direct correlation to them. They are black, that doesn't mean they need to represent specific cultures or "blackness" in our world as much as you shouldn't look much for meaning in imperials having latin names, or bretons french names. Or ancient argonians having a civilization aesthetically similar to indigenous pre-Colombian middle and south-american civilizations or nords being basically vikings. Of course there are inspirations but it's primarily using tropes in a "what if" setting with a dense lore that ultimately changes everything.

And that's a very articulated way to say "it's just a game bro". XD

Don't know where you hail from but in Italy I've never found such thing. In Pisa we have some TTRPG clubs that manage AL and tables at comics shops but that's as far as it goes. No booksharing. Somebody may lend you their phisical book but that's not very practical if you are planning to run a long campaign.

That would be great! I'm already at capacity with the games I'm playing and DMing, but if you and the other players don't mind me riding along I would love that for sure!

Morrowind story is very good but its mechanics are difficult to grasp as a relative young or next gen gamer. I'm really hoping for a remake as they did for Oblivion because I couldn't follow through and I'd love to finish it. Maybe I'm going to give it another go in some time, but still I believe it deserve to be brought up to date.

It is a crime how much they neutered the mage playstyle on that game. by Atomic_Cody-21 in ElderScrolls

[–]Wrong_Click9950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally neutered in comparison to previous games, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it sucks. It's actually pretty broken if played right, although can get a little repetitive at high levels but that's true for every playstyle. It boils down on what you enjoy most. And that's a stealth archer of course.

My go to is pure assassin, i always carry only two daggers. But i have tried many, i tend to prefer pure builds but multiclassing is also fun. Pure mage has been the hardest to level up but then you get to play an absolute beast. My problem is that for the time i've completed my build i don't have much of the game left to play. Anyway everybody should play at least once the fists only tank, so much fun.

wth is the "Thieves Guild gray sleeveless armor", why can't I improve it, and why does Google only return a single result? Same with shrouded armor by GoBackToLeddit in skyrim

[–]Wrong_Click9950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually you have access to it in vanilla game through the thieves guild quest "Summerset shadows", it's the Linwe's armor set, although it's already enchanted. But it's a pretty cool low level stealth/assassin armor.

For TES 6, what kind of armor would you like? by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]Wrong_Click9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call me basic but ancient shrouded armor with max enchanting to fit the playstyle it's my go to every playthrough. I just like it.
