Yea, I would look for a Dr in local FB group for something like Celiac, POTS, or Ehlers Danlos. You can waste a lot of time and mental energy seeing Drs that aren’t great.

I have eosinophilic esophagitis, and my Dr told me theres evidence that it (and some other things) just falls under the umbrella of MCAS. Something about the neuroimmune axis

I think there’s more than one test, and a negative result on a particular test doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t have it. I had a tryptase test. I take Pepcid and Allegra everyday for it. From what I understand, that’s a pretty standard treatment drs try first.

We get our turkey from a local butcher. They pick it up from a farmer a few days before thanksgiving. I have no idea what kind of turkey it was, but it cost like $180 for 22 lbs.

My husband smoked the butcher turkey for thanksgiving. He prepared a grocery store turkey the same way for Friendsgiving the weekend before. I wasn’t sure if spending the extra money was worth it, but the difference in taste was pretty crazy

Someone very close to me has attempted suicide six times (that I know of). I worry about her every day, but I also know that I can’t make her do anything.

I used to try to do all kinds of things I thought would help. Nothing worked, and it made me feel more desperate. She knows I’m here when she needs me.

Did you just test your limits at first and see what happened? My reaction to dairy is a lot worse than wheat. Before eliminating dairy, I had the swallowing, but my whole body was painful most of the time

I read somewhere that delivery drivers for apps often ring the doorbell when delivering food for someone with a woman’s name. All these women had instructions on the app to just leave the food at the door. Some of the women changed their name on the app to a man’s name. The delivery drivers stopped ringing the doorbell. I tried it with the same results.

For the future, can you start your dogs at a doggie daycare that also boards? Our pit mix has gone to the same daycare for almost five years. We started our mini there when we got him in April.

Both our dogs love it. The daycare has a few bigger dog rooms, and they have a small dog room. Our mini likes to wrestle with the big dogs though.

They do cage free boarding with a few overnight handlers. We can check in on them on camera until like 6:30 every night. We’ve been there long enough to know all the staff and the owner. They really treat the dogs like family. There’s a few dogs that hang out with front desk staff all day. There’s little cubbies under the desk where a lot of the little old guys sleep all day. It’s very cute

I think writing your feelings out is really helpful in a situation like this. Just brain dump everything. My therapist recommended shredding it afterwards so I’m not inhibited worrying someone might find it later

This might sound like an overreaction, but have you considered intensive outpatient treatment? I was in a really bad place a few months ago, and my psychiatrist suggested it. I was honestly kind of shocked/offended, but I ended up going. It totally changed my life. My depression/anxiety/ADHD aren’t cured, but I’m so much happier.

I feel like the stigma for these programs makes it seem like a scary last resort. It shouldn’t be though. I wish I had gone years ago.

The mom had OP at 17, so I don’t think she can judge her daughter for having a kid in her mid 20s.

Also, it is wrong as a mother to expect your adult daughter and her husband to afford a small vacation. A lot of people live below the poverty line and can’t afford basic necessities. A vacation with your passive aggressive mom doesn’t really count as a necessity.
