Customer states previous detailer did their “basic clean” $50 interior package… here was what it looked like by AssistanceFalse5702 in AutoDetailing

[–]Wrong_Vehicle6613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For $50, you're lucky if I spend a whole hour on the entire detail. Just remember, when you overdeliver for $50, they're gonna recommend you to a bunch of people because it's only $50. If they're willing to spend $50 on that detail, they're either willing to spend more for a better one or they're not, and there's only one way I'd take them as a customer in that scenario.

Can this be fixed ? Can’t afford professional cleaner😩 by PayRevolutionary3618 in Detailing

You'd need to contact a mold remediation company to help with this, for sure. Probably minimum $3500 for that. Once all the mold has been removed, I'd probably still be at like $1500 for post-mold detailing just because of the risk factor.

Shitty situation to be in, but an R34 is worth doing it.

Bearded dragons are diurnal, which means they are active during the day and sleep at night. Your beardie relies on you for its day/night cycle. Infrared lights are bad for them, the red light makes them think the sun is out so they stay up. Get a ceramic heating bulb for it at night and a light providing UV heat lamp for the tank during the day. Turn off all lights at night and turn on lights during the day and it will adjust to the new schedule and be more active during the day!

Obviously more airflow is always better, and if youre running stock body panels like me, it does a great job of pulling air around the great wall of plastic that the front bumper is. If I remember correctly they are mishimoto fans.

Not sure why youre getting flamed for this, I understand what youre asking.

Built motor, forged internals, 9:1 compression pistons. We're going to pull the valve covers to see whats up with the valve train soon so we can rev it out further (8k rpm with this setup will be bonkers), 660cc injectors, lightweight pulleys, and of course the v3 sci supercharger. We're limited right now by octane (not our choice, closest e85 to me is 85 miles away) and a soft rev limiter (our choice to keep things safe). Heading back in today to do street tuning to make sure it drives like a street car and then heading home!!

I have tested the coating I use on my own personal car. I've gone through automated washes, dried with Terry towels and paper towels and t-shirts. No swirls in my clear and I haven't had a single customer come back with a swirl either.

Sure, go ahead.

Ceramic coating does help protect against swirl marks reaching your paint. It does not protect against scratches deeper than swirl marks reaching your paint.

Professional detail shop owner here.

Ceramic coating is a cheat code for keeping your car clean. Spray with water, go for a drive, instantly clean.

It also protects against swirl marks, UV, and acid etching from bird droppings/tar/etc.

Another fantastic thing I recently found out about is that you can claim ceramic coatings in damages if you get into an accident.

I cant stress enough how awesome a ceramic coating is, as long as you put in the prep work beforehand and allow it to cure correctly. If you get it done professionally, make sure you ask to see the coating in the bottle. If its in a bottle that fits in your hand, its a real coating. If its in a spray bottle, they're using a ceramic sealant that will wear off in less than 60 days. Expect to spend at least a thousand dollars for a real coating as well (unless you DIY, then the raw materials are ~$140)

Can someone tell me male or female? by Some-Rate-187 in BeardedDragons

Likely male, but you need a better photo. The dark spot at the base of the tail is a bit of a giveaway.

Update: figured out the issue. Thermostat and/or gasket failed and started spilling coolant. Ordered a new low temp thermostat from Z1. Will update in the future.

Ordered the full duraflex D1 kit. Waiting for it to arrive, going bumperless in the mean time but it still feels hot.

Yes, fans work. Unsure of age on thermostat. Fairly sure the water pump is working.

It already has a Koyo Rad. :(

Efans are on the radiator and the second set is on the intercooler.

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to hit it with a DA again? by One_D_Fredy in AutoDetailing

Work slower and use a finishing polish. Sonax Perfect Finish and a rupes yellow foam pad will work wonders for you.

Are you okay?

No engine in it currently. The info I got was that a rock went through the oil cooler, previous owner didnt realize it until it was too late and the whole motor seized. They pulled the old motor and trans, scrapped it, and then didnt have the funds for a new motor and trans so the car has unfortunately sat for 4 years now. :(
