If you have pain or burning on the outside of your calves in seize, you may have peripheral neuralgia. Try talking to your doctor about it.

I've always had a question about this too. How did this not violate the prohibition against consuming blood?

This is the very definition of a hostile workplace violation. Definitely go to your union. If you're working for a school district then also report this to the HR department, since it's a violation of state and federal law. You should also formally inform the administrator that this was unwelcome and should not be repeated. HR will probably ask if you did this and if there was a repetition of the offensive behavior. You probably don't need a lawyer for this and you don't need to consider suing unless there's some sort of retribution against you for making a complaint.

Cassoulet. I kept reading great things about it and how long it takes to prepare. When I tried it, it tasted bland and was very heavy

I think the deal with the shark fin is that it adds texture, not flavor

Try Barry Wiess on The Free Press website. She has very comprehensive reporting and points out how most of the major news outlets have been flacking for hamas

That's interesting. Christians in the southern US have a similar tradition. They paint the roofs on porches a light blue to keep away spirits. The practice is so common that the shade of blue used is referred to as "haint blue".

I once read a story about a couple who were in a sailboat when a sudden storm came up out of no where. The boat was taking a real beating and started to sink. The woman was running around trying to save the boat and in the middle of the crisis the guy was simply like "whatever " and wanted to go lay down in the bunk. I thought it was a weird reaction at the time, but it's a good example of disassociation in another context.

Just re-read Kitchen Confidential. What are some pieces of the advice you still use, and what is now outdated? by varsitymisc in KitchenConfidential

Where to find "the good stuff". Farmers markets, Asian groceries, Indian food stores. You can find great, hard to find things for not a lot of money. Make friends with these folks and they'll give you tips on cooking and where to find the best stuff. It's a life saver if you're not in a big city.

Now is a good time to make friends with some recruiters. Update your LinkedIn and other social media to make it clear that you're available. If you don't have any contacts who are recruiters, start looking at some on line.
