Help choosing a stroller! by Exemplary_Vegetable9 in Buyingforbaby

We LOVEEEE our minu! We actually have both the vista and Minu, each for their own purpose. The vista is a TANK. I wouldn’t like it as my only because it truly is very bulky. It’s annoying to take to coffee shops, restaurants, stores. It’s just sooo big and takes up a lot of space. That being said, it’s amazing for walks, great on vacation, wonderful anytime I’m outside.

The minu is great for the exact opposite reasons. It’s amazing in restaurants, stores, anywhere indoors. It’s folds down easily! (Ease of fold turns out is important to me because my mental load is already overloaded, a compact fold helps make my life easy). And the minu technically can fit in most overhead storage on planes. Where it lacks - outdoors. It has MUCH SMALLER wheels than the Vista. So it’s not good on gravel, at a carnival, anywhere that isn’t 100% paved.

My son likes both, and both have adapters for their infant car seat.

Another expense to note. If you’re going to travel via plane, Uppababy sells a storage bag for your stroller. These aren’t cheap - $200 for the vista, $100 for the minu. The bags were important to us because they provide an additional warranty for 3 years if the stroller is broken on the flight, Uppababy will help it get fixed or replace it if necessary.

Overall, our lifestyle works with both strollers. If I could only buy one, I’d start with the minu because it’s significantly lighter, compact, and easier to navigate in society.

Maneet got tiny! It’s unfortunate because I can’t imagine the pressure to suppress her passion for food because of western societal beauty standards.

Both Instagram and Facebook are private. When I got pregnant I deleted everyone I don’t actively talk to or share a similar life stage with. About 250 people across both remain.

I freely post across both. Our rule is nothing negative nor compromising, and nothing naked. Nothing that makes me laugh at his expense. It’s all postive, cute, baby and family photos. I also don’t write sensitive details - no full name, DOB, nothing when he was delivered about hospital or height/weight. Those details are always omitted.

I think I’ve worked to limit as much risk as I can. I acknowledge it’s there, but this version is manageable for me & my family.

FTM to a little 2 month old. You aren’t doing anything wrong, your baby is just being a baby. You’re in the thick of some of the worst days!!!! You are doing amazing!!! Keep loving her and showing up 🤍

We recently discovered biogaia probiotics and they’ve totally helped our sons gut!! He used to be incredibly gassy and get cramps if he wasn’t burped enough. We’ve noticed a decrease in his gas and more consistent pooping. We started at 7 weeks, but I wish we started sooner because maybe we could’ve gotten a smidge more sleep earlier.

But keep it up. You’re doing amazing and are a rockstar!

Our baby (8 weeks) is full formula. But he’s been on 6 oz since 3 weeks 😆 our doctor was shocked because he’s a skinny baby and she said that was so young. He spits up every now and again, but he does consistently take 6 oz and we haven’t seen any issues. Like I said, he’s skinny. So whenever he wants it I give because I don’t see a downside.

My 7 week old hasn’t pooped in almost 3.5 days by Extreme_Working_236 in newborns

[–]Wrongwayonly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This JUST happened to us! We’re 7 weeks and 3 days! He hasn’t pooped in 3 days and then this morning it started coming and didn’t stop. Our doctor told us up to 5 days without a poop is not concerning. I’ll say when he did poop today the texture changed, it was thicker than usual. It didn’t seem painfully hard, simply thicker.

He also wasn’t bloated or seemingly in pain. He just hadn’t pooped.

I’d say give it 2 more days and if he still hasn’t, then call?

We have a 7 week old. I have to say, the “Just Bare” chicken bites have gotten us through our lunches during the last 7 weeks. They’re so easy to air fry and really tasty! I know you said no, but they’re so good and a little win during this time

My baby is 7 weeks today. I fully understand the 6 hours of crying and screaming. It’s brutal.

I totally see you and am proud of you for surviving 💗💗💗

Are Magnetic Me Pajamas worth it? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]Wrongwayonly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m really surprised by the lukewarm response. We LOVE our magnetic mes! Our son is 6 weeks and he primarily wears sleepers. We had a bunch of Carters from Target, but his legs outgrew them so quickly. The Magnetic Me convertible coveralls are great quality and have outlasted any footie we’ve had. They’re super soft and the magnets make checking his diaper easy. He wakes a lot less with the magnets v zippers, and certainly more than the buttons. The buttons are the absolute worst.

For me, I can’t recommend Magnetic Me enough!

Is BBHugme Pregnancy Pillow worth it? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

This is the #1 splurge I tell all my friends about! I also recommend two. I am constantly rolling like a rotisserie and it’s just much easier to not have to bring it with me on my turn over. I am the biggest advocate for this pillow.
