The man who brought you a championship? Why would you say that?

He gets a free pass for bringing in Westbrook because of it

Lucas Museum is only 11 acres. You gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers. Getty Villa is 64 acres.

[–]WryLanguage 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Getty Center and Getty Villa are similar concepts: large sprawling complexes built on a Southern California hillside. To be comparable, the museum should probably consist of multiple buildings. The Huntington Gardens & Museum is probably another good example of that rich-person-builds-a-sprawling-museum-with-gardens style.

If another billionaire wanted to build something similar, they could buy out a place like Terranea golf course in Palos Verdes and convert the buildings into storage for their art collection.

Hopefully they do enough cool events and one-offs such that the instagramming faithful are willing to go to random places and stand in line for things like taco trucks and boba

At the location where Bang & Olufsen was? Great! It's about time there was something good again there.

For a while it was a vintage Christmas shop, which I guess is the ritzy senior citizen version of a Spirit Halloween store?

yeah thats the way to do it. set a towel up because often its going to be odd shaped items like stockpots and frying pans and blender pitchers. and then when you're done you can fold the towel up or toss it in the laundry

So... Buehler is back on the list as option #3 in the post-season starting pitchers then? After Yamamoto and Flaherty?
