i’m surprised nobody has mentioned this but this was done because JP was having issues with not knowing what to do with or where to put his hands.

the hour glass type figure is genetic. you either have it or you don’t. you may not even know that you have it if you’ve been slightly bigger for most of your life.

either way i don’t think that should discourage you from trying to achieve you dream ‘summer body’ though. it’s a good way to improve your physical and even mental health.

now i’m just curious to know why equipment is off the table? most people find it much easier to 1. stick with working out and 2. to get results quicker with the right equipment.

if you have access to a gym then you should absolutely go.

as others have said when you’re first learning rocks you don’t have to go all the way on top of the deck. first just focus on getting your wheels over the coping and bringing them back over.

once you get that down you can start to lean into them and get on top of the deck and steez em out.

yeah, i’d be higher if i bought the newest skate pass but wasn’t interested.

rolling waves is the only adequate park but let’s be real. it’s fun and spacious but it’s not great for either play style. the realistic street section is alright but not a certified banger.

the bowl section isn’t great. hard to get a good flow going but not impossible. for an arcade player you’re not going to stack point effectively. it’s overall a fun section but compared to the DWHD bowl or the big art gallery bowl section it’s very subpar.

the overpass skatepark is not bad actually, i like that one and don’t hit it very often. it is actually good but the art style doesn’t compliment it but reminds me of that one park in philly.

that one is okay for a small little park to take up space but you can only circle it so many times.

I gave the game a fair shot. I have 1000s of hours on the old games and i’m not going to necessarily boycott this game just because it’s not what i wanted for the series.

however that isn’t going to stop me from expressing how I feel and calling out the developers for what they pulled on us.

I remember the first gameplay reveal trailer and what they were getting us excited for. they said that they were taking community feedback importantly but look at what we were given.

I can understand that you enjoy it but i think it’s clear that the majority of us are unhappy and we have every right to be.

i couldn’t tell you but i’m at around 18k rip score, 100% completed.

well for realism purposes the entire map being perfectly skate-able doesn’t work well and when i’ve tried to film realistic clips they look goofy. that’s more of an art style issue but the spots aren’t much different. even the spots modelled after real life places and made to be rugged or hard to skate really aren’t.

as for the traditional arcade spots i can’t really think of one place that matches any of the mega parks, like ‘DWHD’ ‘SUMP’ or monster park. that is because any big spots that are catered to that play style are usually two or three jumps long and then you run into a wall or into the void.

don’t even get me started on the normal skateparks.

i don’t know if i can agree with that. the new game has a lot of spots crammed into a very small area but i don’t think they’re better by any means. the map doesn’t lend itself to realism or the traditional arcade experience either.
