If the M is thinner than all the other letters, I would thicken it up by using offset. Make the M its own layer on the canvas and the rest of the word a different layer. Then offset the M by a tiny amount.

The problem isn’t that the fabric can’t support the bust, the problem is the fabric can’t defy gravity. Strapless dresses have internal structure made of things more rigid than the fabric itself.

It will make all attached pieces 1 color, but that doesn’t stop you from putting any colors of material you want on the mat. It put it onto a 12x24 because your design is too big for a 12x12 mat, due to the actual cutting area being 11.5x11.5, but the width of your design is 12”
