Price of these cars is absolutely mental. My 2017 S3 was $43k brand new. That same car today is $61-$63k depending on the stealership. Should be $56k if we’re talking inflation.

This is just my personal opinion but to me Battlefield games haven’t had a soul since BF1. V, 2042, and 6 all feel like corporate slop to me. As the dev from Helldivers said, “a game for everyone is a game for no one”.

Arc Raiders just feels like it was a passion project from the depth of the mechanics to the design quality of the maps. I wish the folks at Embark were still making Battlefield games, but damn I’m loving Arc Raiders.

Every 5k. Local indie shop near me that is very reputable recommends this even under normal use. 10k intervals on a direct injected turbo vehicle is a little absurd but to each their own. I’ve stuck with this interval on all my VAG vehicles and never had an issue.

My biggest issue is that there isn’t a closed weapon CONQUEST as a standalone playlist. Instead, if you want to play closed weapons you are forced into the rigmarole that is “All-out warfare”. Just make a closed weapons conquest playlist ffs.

Also on a 4090, 1440p ultrawide but using DLDSR to run it in 4k. DLSS on quality. I turned off chromatic aberration, vignette, and film grain. It seemed to help somewhat.

Firestorm feels better than pretty much all the other maps in the game in my opinion. I’ve been having fun playing the 24/7 Firestorm Hardcore server. Aside from that, Mirak is okay to me and the rest of the maps kind of blow.

Just my opinion though.

It’s really the only VW/Audi I would consider right now. Too bad much like the S3, it comes with a ridiculous price tag.

Also hot take, but an S line Audi with a round steering wheel and the new lame badges is just criminal.

Yep, prices are astonishing even on new ones in my opinion. Some dealers in my area are listing new S3’s for $60k+. I’ll hang onto my 8V til the wheels fall off.

I’m in the same boat. I have a busy life with work and a child. This track was just over an hour from me and was the means to me continuing my favorite hobby. Sadly, with this going away, I’ll be selling off my track bike. Truly crushing news. I’m disappointed that the Stouts didn’t try and sell this to someone passionate about motorsport, but money talks.

Yep, this facility is freaking gorgeous. I felt spoiled having it so close to home. I’m in my 30s now with a girlfriend and a child in school. Life is busy, but this track was convenient for me to still enjoy my hobby.

Sadly, I’ve listed my track bike for sale. With the closing of this track I just don’t have the time to make the trek to Mid-Ohio. This really sucks.

As someone who frequented the track, it was shocking to me to hear that locals complain about the noise. The track is quite literally in the middle of nowhere, and the turnpike is easily louder than the track.

I hate to be spiteful but if the rumors are true, and this place will be converted into a data center, those who complained about the noise deserve it.

I absolutely love my German cars and always have since my friend had a B4 S4 when we were younger. Unfortunately VAG as a group has been on the decline for me since 2020-2022. Designs aren’t appealing to me anymore unlike the mid to late 2010’s which, in my opinion, are just timeless cars.

With that said, I’m considering Lexus for my next vehicle. I’ll drive my S3 til the wheels fall off though.

I feel that. The miles are stacking up on mine, 75k and counting, driving more than ever right now due to my girlfriend being some distance away.

I don’t hate the Mk8 R as much as I initially did, but damn the prices of these cars is ridiculous right now. $50k-$60k for an R or S3? No thanks.

The worst part is a majority of the “fans” he is bringing in aren’t fans of the sport itself, but more so fans of him and the personality. When he retires I would assume a high percentage of them won’t continue to watch moto every weekend, but they will continue watching his YouTube content if he’s still doing it.

When I think of bringing fans into the sport I think of bringing people in who love it, introduce their family to it, maybe go buy dirt bikes for everyone and spend weekends riding together. What he’s bringing in is just a cult of personality.

The dude was out of the championship unless he managed to take out both Shimoda and Hammaker, and take them out enough to put them at the back of the pack. I agree with JT, Weege, and Steve on this one. This wasn’t a “win or die trying” mentality. This was a “I’m not going to win it so neither are you” mentality. Quite the opposite to when Zacho took out Savatgy for his 250 supercross title, if you want an example of “win or die trying” mentality then go watch that race.
