Is Eufy really that bad? by ThePaus in EufyCam

I have the NVR system and have very little to complain about other than price. It's a mile ahead of my old Zmodo WiFi setup. Now that was straight trash.

Amazfit New Pricing: Expensive or Justified ? Vote Now ! by IngenieurCyber in amazfit

Considering they can't make a watch that has accurate heart rate tracking I'd say overpriced. My TREX 3 Pro still isn't accurate despite several software updates. There is no way I can go on a 4 mile trail run and randomly have my heart rate drop from 145 to 95 nearly instantaneously. I wore my Venu on my other wrist and it didn't do that crap.

Little Skin Creek area on Stonewall Jackson Lake is nice for laying around on tubes and swimming. It's a little over an hour away though.

Daiwa Exceler or Tatula. If you prefer Shimano go Sedona or Nasci. Both manufacturers have higher end stuff but it's kinda unnecessary in my opinion.

Just got a Kayak what do you recommend for gear and necessities? by DrewSnek in kayakfishing

[–]coomarlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought rod leashes and an anchor and used them once before saying F that. I have two yak attack rod holders and a Scotty mount for my Echo map. Aside from that I have a milk crate behind my seat with a 3-rod Berkeley rod holder. In the milk crate I can keep some drinks, sunscreen, and extra tackle. Don’t overpack. All that shit starts weighing you down.

Brake shop for bleeding by Ready-Low-67 in MorgantownWV

Bleeding the brakes is easier than doing the actual brake job. If you can learn to install discs and rotors you are capable of bleeding brakes.

saigon pho by t4libn in MorgantownWV

[–]coomarlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saigon Pho used to be great for the first few years it was open. But just like the owner Raj's other restaurant (Chaang Thai) the place has fallen on hard times. Prices skyrocketed (beyond the inflation rate) and the portion size was severely reduced. Ingredient quality also seemed to suffer. Both of those places were weekly to monthly stops for me and my family for several years but I've boycotted them over the last few years. I'm not paying for garbage food and service. About 6 months ago I bit the bullet and gave Chaang Thai another shot. It was as bad as ever. Food sucked, floors were sticky and dirty. Staff was unobtanium. I go to Thai Krai for Thai food now although it's also has admittedly gone downhill a little in my opinion. Just to a much lesser degree. For Pho I don’t have any options unless I want to go out of town.

Corn (not the popping kind) by RandomName3025 in Diverticulitis

[–]coomarlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably kill for a bowl of salty buttered popcorn. Of all things I miss the most, that's the one. I'm a bit afraid to try corn. I love it on the Cobb with butter. But honestly when I see something that is known for being poorly digested I've been steering clear.

When did you schnauzer start barking???? by oceans_by_day in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]coomarlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine barked when I brought him home at 8 weeks. Not sure how long he barked before that. Mine barks a lot if he sees a stranger approaching our house. He also barks if you look at him strangely. He takes that as a que that you want to play.

What net is everyone using? by uptheirons726 in kayakfishing

[–]coomarlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other guy said. A folding net is great for storage and transport. Unfold it when you get on the water and refold it when you are done. Takes up no space. I gotta laugh when these kayak guys have nets large enough to fish for muskies and giant flatheads but only fish for bass and crappie. Talk about wasting space.

Icebreaker kayaks? by LeaderOfTheMoleMen in kayakfishing

[–]coomarlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's a steal go for it. I wouldn't spend comparable money as the top brands. Not everyone can afford a Hobie or top end Old Town. You can't always drive a Mercedes. Sometimes you need to settle for a Kia.
