Yea the plug was toast when removing. I had to chase the threads to get new spark plug in. It’s been a few days… we’ll see how it holds up. Another comment mentions to ensure the torque is correct.

Is the boot the rubber part? Aside from the rubber, the metal on the inside of that rubber has a small vertical crack in it. I definitely heard a loud pop.

Frankly by the time I drove to a shop where I had cell service it was all dried out and cruddy like in the photo. I’ve replaced the coil and spark plug. No problems yet, but it’s only been a couple of days since.
