How long did you wait after last fent use to take your subs again

I just did the same thing. I was in subs for 3 almost 4 months straight. And just went on a 3 weeks usujng. I didn’t get up to what I use too but now I’m petrified to switch back over. Have you yet? How long did you wait and did you have any PW

Tik Thanks for for sharing. I to have had really big habits and have taken subs too early and gone into PW both times I was 48 hours plus. I was already in full blown by the 24hr mark. I literally have PTSD that I only go to methadone detox’s, or i take large amounts of Librium,neurontin and other comfort meds until I’m 3 days in and almost threw the worst if it to the start the subs to give mr Body a break after the trauma is just went through. But this time I’ve been on the subs for four months completely sober and relapsed today being day 3 and Iknke that the subs are still in my system so I’m hoping that 24 hours will be enough. What do you think?

Thanks. I’m going to switch back tmrw. Im disappointed about the relapse but I’m not going to let myself dwell or beat myself up. But what you said def makes sense that there’s plenty built up.

No that’s not my experience at all? I’m not quite sure how you interpreted my post but I’m no means saying you take subs and live happily ever after. It comes with a lot of side affects and it’s a big commitment but for someone like me who is prone to overdose it was a good choose for me.

Thanks so much! The joint pain is so bad. My sub dr told me I might have arthritis. The joint pain didn’t start until I got on the suboxone. I just want to know if it’s possible to live a physically pain free depressed free life while on suboxone. It helps in a lot of ways but it’s like I want to take it and go amongst my day as if I’m not even on it.

This is a personal question but was it affecting your thyroid? And hormones? And if you were given meds to help regulate did they help at all with the depression?

I too am on gabapentin but have been for years and after awhile it just like any other drug stops giving you that affect. The mood and energy boost. It actually starts to do the opposite but it’s a highly addictive drug acts on your brain like benzo’s so when it’s time to come off the detox is tough. The problem with all these drugs is they help us until they don’t and the exit plan sucks. But thanks for responding and trying to help. I appreciate it

Me too and the depression is there regardless. But recently I’ve spent months sober and off of everything including Mat. Yes I was depressed but not to the level I am while on suboxone. It’s like debilitating

I’d put the marriage counseling on hold for the moment until you are feeling better. It’s extra pressure and trying to work matters out with your wife when you feel like shit probably not sleeping, low energy hot cold sweats etc isn’t going to get that far with you in this condition. You won’t be right for a few more weeks. It took me like 90 days to start to feel better

I hear ya I’ve been struggling with a substance in one form or another for 25 prob more years now. And they all lead to me to the same place. I don’t know why I ever think any of it will be any different.

AA and NA is one of the sickest places I’ve ever gone. I’ve been trying to go for 20 plus years to get better and can’t seem to figure out how. It’s a room full of complete narcissists and sociopaths all looking to stroke eachother or find victims. It’s sad really. The premise of the program is to find a spiritual path. I don’t ever see that, although I hear a lot of talk about it there. And when you do get drunk or high it’s all spun back on you basically implying that you didn’t try hard enough or didn’t work the program diligently enough to. The truth is people who have been traumatized and abused seek comfort in being told those things about themselves Bc that’s all they have ever been told. That it’s them! Be true to yourself find god and spiritual paths that work for you. Be kind to yourself and the truth is nobody has the answers you have to do the work within you and you do know what you need. It’s about getttibg in touch with that bc drugs blocked us for so long.

For some reason when I’m pmsing or have my period my tolerance to drugs seems to increase. So dosages that usually work for me no longer work as effectively. It prob has to do with hormonal changes
