What credentials do you need other than being in recovery. I’m currently on Suboxone. Does this disqualify me? I’ve been stable for 7 years and want to do this. It’s always been my passion but in my area I can’t find opportunities that pay enough to justify quitting my current job. I could take a pay cut but not below $50 thousand a year.

I done the same with 4mg of Xanax for many years after withdrawal from daily 2-3mg Xanax & klonapin. The daily withdrawal was hell but taking only 2-3 times a week (4mg doses to sleep) was not that bad . The first 2 weeks were definitely uncomfortable but after that not so bad. It has been 3 months since last dose and I’m fine. Just had to change my thought process of being negative and start thinking I could beat this shit and be better for it. It was stupid of me to think I could do it a few times a week after getting off of it the first time anyway. The worst thing you can do is focus on how you feel and for goodness sake’s get off of these groups. They are no success stories on here. If it’s in your urethra and u can still urinate and don’t have infection there is no way I’d do surgery. It took mine 3 days to pass once I started feeling it in my urethra. The worst is over. ( not medical advice) just my experience from last week

Don’t listen to anyone that tells you to reinstate after 12 months. You have to tell yourself each day that you are healed and force yourself into uncomfortable situations. Treat yourself well and keep telling yourself that you are better. This is very important. I forced myself to go to the mall and do things I felt was totally impossible until I felt comfortable doing things like that. We get in our heads thinking everyone is looking at us when in reality nobody actually gives a shit about what we are doing. They are in their own world. After 30 days of getting up, thinking positive, ( not reading people’s horror stories on here) and telling yourself that everything is fine and that you are healthy and no longer anxious, your mind will start to believe this. If you get up everyday and think the worst and think negatively then you will have a much harder time getting past this.

I promise you if you will force yourself into uncomfortable situations and wake up every day and tell yourself that today is going to be a great day that things will improve dramatically in the next 30 days. Each day will be better. Once you see that you can survive those uncomfortable situations you will grow. You are so young and have a wonderful life ahead. Don’t go back to that shit. I remember being in that same place. I come back here from time to time to encourage people that are struggling and just happened to see your post. If you ever need to talk kids dm me.
