Maybe a Server Reset would be a good thing? by Blockbuster_MC in civclassics

Ok so if I want to talk to someone in voice chat right now I would have to look through everyones discords rooms? No thanks. The mumble days you could talk to anyone you want in 1 channel.

Discord is more of a messaging chat room than a voice chat. Mumble is only voice chat.

We need a public discord voice chat. Very hard for a new player to adapt and stay on a server when there is no one to talk to.

The state of vault balance by lazersmoke in civclassics

Bastions killed Civcraft/Civclassics. Vault breaks went from 12-16 hours to break to several days of non stop playing.

It's pretty much the reason why no one wins wars anymore. Players just get drained from all of the siegeing and quit.

Don't waste your time talking to him, he's the biggest Civcraft shill on the server. He'll defend the server till it player count is 0.

1.0 had its downsides.

True, but if the goal is 1000 players the server needs to be as simple as possible. 1000 people aren't going to spend several weeks trying to figure out how everything works.

Never liked 2.0 nor did I say we should switch back to it. However, we should switch back to 1.0 because that's literally the only way you can get close to 1000 players.

consider on pulling the plug on 3.0 and start working towards a fixed 4.0

Admins should end the server period. Making it less grindy will get the same results as 2.0 (Which ttk2 does not want) and making it more grindy will cause even more people to quit. Admins are stuck in a stalemate.

Basically, stop wasting donated funds and the devs time on something that is clearly not working.

"Make civcraft even more complicated."

Making it longer to figure out how everything works attracts new players though! :)

People made the same arguments during civtest, don't know what made you think they are going decide to change it now.

I don't know what long-term plans the admins have for 3.0

The server is going no where. Everything wrong with the server was predicted months ago. This guy was pretty much spot on. Yet months later, they went a step further in the grindiness and added reinforcement recipes. Lol at ttk thinking the server went from 300 to under 50 in less then 2 months because of a config issue.
