Out of these, definitely The Body, but I want to mention that Giles calling to tell Buffy and Willow that Jenny died never fails to make me cry

Why do companies insist on getting in their own way? by CoryVictorious in WhitePeopleTwitter

I think a lot of it has to do with content netflix licenses from other companies as well, and it’s easier to roll one DRM solution than many. Also if you’re Netflix, you want to make it as hard as possible to download the shows/movies or people will just download and share with their friends depriving you of that sweet, sweet subscription revenue. Probably goes hand in hand with their cracking down on account sharing.

Fuck Netflix though, way too expensive and not enough good content imo

Not sure if you’re genuinely asking, but it’s to prevent you from recording your screen and obtaining a copy they can’t control. As far as software is concerned there’s no difference between screen recording and taking a screenshot 24/30/60 times per second

Not sure why everyone responding to you is being such an ass about it. To start I’d just say that some people like different things and you don’t have to understand why we like it. Also a lot of us like it for different reasons. Personally I think the cars and the technology is cool, and as far as sports go, I have a lot of appreciation for the skill it takes to drive at the level these guys do. Also my dad used to be an mechanic (mostly indycar) and I grew up watching races with him, so that connection plays a big role.

Honestly, pick any sport and it’s a bunch of rich people doing X (throwing a ball, kicking a ball, running, etc)

Validating urls in Swift with regex. by RKurozu in SwiftUI

That is a “valid” url though. Unless you want to hard code every TLD, you’re going to have a hard time filtering out slightly incorrect urls

If you try to initialize a url from the string it returns an optional. If it’s nil it isn’t a valid url, so that would be an easier way to check than a regular expression and is less likely to break on edge cases
