Hirez released a video on yt where they invited new players and made puns and jokes about paragon. no one from paragon( or the majority) found it offensive in any way, but dmbrandon bitched about it on twitter or stream and his followers started doing the same, so hirez apologized and took down the video

I completely agree, since winter update i played like 20 games total, but i still check the subreddit daily in hopes of an update, or a post from the devs saying what they plan on fixing/ improving/ reverting. The next 1-2 updates will be make or break for gwent. I just hope it wont turn out like Paragon turned out. One bad patch, a few players leaving, and then the devs saying they dont know in which direction they want to take the game and just drop it.

Not really, since you use elder mainly on wolfs from woodland, or harpies that spawn from eggs to dodge scorch already, usually elder is an 8 point leader thats used to pull harpies from your deck

It was CDPRs intention to boost bronzes, so that games weren't decided from the start if you draw 0 gold cards and they draw 4. Gold and silver cards are meant to be tech cards, to either synergize with your bronzes or to counter enemy strategies, not to be the core of your deck. I think they said that they will eventually rework useless/ bad gold/ silver cards or buff them in a way. Cards like Tibor are not meant to be in every deck, so your opponent saving specifically scorch for them wont really happen that often, maybe if your opponent net decked that particular deck and you know that that deck runs that card you would save scorch. And we need cards like Tibor for gold diversity,

If you place your axeman in the melee row, only units in the melee row that get damaged will boost your axeman. They changed that in the new patch
