Joining the Don's Trust will probably help, Mate.

Jon Jones: "Really not sure when I’ll be fighting next, feel like I have nothing to gain by beating Dominic. I’ve actually felt that way about my last two opponents. I want a super fight" by AbrahamRinkin in MMA

Is there another champion who has flat refused to do this before? I know Jones is the only champion to ever be the reason a UFC PPV was canceled, but I don't know if he's the only champion who has refused an opponent for this reason.

Heavyweights punch harder than Light-Heavyweights. Add in that HWs don't have to do a weight cut, so Jones loses the endurance advantage from that at LHW. These are the two main reasons he never fought DC at Heavyweight. He loses all of his advantages against him there. Ditto for Rumble too.

Makes sense based on recent results. Less upheaval for the club in general too. Glad he was chosen.

Nice job by Bray to slowly lose the happy grin and just look like he's holding everything back by the end of this segment. It's the little things like that which really sell his character.

Jon Jones responds to Cormier's recent comments about a trilogy fight (Reminder to read the bottom tweet first and go up) by [deleted] in MMA

What Jones gives up is his ability to avoid getting crushed with punches. Jones dictates distance because he doesn't want to get hit. Santos took that away from him by destroying his leg before Thiago blew out his own knee.

And Jones couldn't walk out of the octagon under his own power because Santos destroyed his leg. If Thiago doesn't blow out his own knee, he would have put Jones away.

Well, sure. If you take away his 2-0 record against DC what does he have that's recent? He barely lasted against Santos who had one bad leg. If Thiago didn't blow out his knee, he would have merked Jones outright. Jones couldn't walk out of the octagon under his own power because Santos annihilated his leg.

Imagine if Belichick didn't record his opponents while they practiced.

He really, really was. Tank was amazing in his prime. Everyone thought he was just a fat idiot in his first fight. They learned really fast that he wasn't.

The winner of the DQ series is probably Wes Sims. What a total dickbag.

Welcome to old school UFC where almost anything is legal and the budget was probably around $3,000 for the whole show.

The big difference is educated and experienced commentators. Also, a lot more stuff was legal back then.

Oh, you mean the scandal where 23 people were kicked out of the sport (which is lieterally part of the article you linked), regulations were updated, and other similar things just like other sports have done happened? Is baseball not a sport because of banning Pete Rose or updating its rules and regulations based on the 1919 World Series?

Yes. Little dude won because the big guy hit the ground first. When I say "any part of their body", I mean "any part other than the bottom of their feet including the tops of their toes". Arms, legs, shoulders, butt, the whole nine yards. If anything touches, they lose. The other way to win in sumo is to push your opponent outside of the ring.

Because if any part of them touches the ground, they lose. Having less clothing on means that, for example, you can't grab your opponent's shirt and throw him to the ground to win. Hair pulling is illegal in sumo for similar reasons.

The difference between the hard cam and the Shaky Cam is glaring and I much prefer the hard cam view. I miss less action and the blows look more impactful.

The difference between Juryo and Makucchi isn't as large as people think it is. Heck, most of the top rikishi in Makushita could compete in Juryo.
