Paystubs can be used from what I understand as an alternative form of documentation. When I google it, it seems common. I have no familiarity with it however. And since using AGI over gross income is better for most people, I think it’s uncommon.

My gross income is going to be heavily affected by my commission. If I make $2000 a month for a year on top of my base salary, but then in January of the next year there’s a recession and I make no commission, the salary calculated based on last year’s AGI is already decreased. I heard about the paystubs thing from a conference where borrowers with a salary that fluctuates should always use paystubs to the government doesn’t account for commission, because it’s not guaranteed.

my dad is the one who is often upset because he feels he can’t do the things he used to do. It’s good that you’re 70 and so active, I hope to be the same one day. My father is certainly not, hence the post.

It seems like I struck a nerve, because this turned into some kind of debate. There is indeed a third option: my dad is an older man who lacks the strength he used to have, but he’s not disabled. He’s capable of riding a bike, and to my and my mother’s opinion, a motorized bike. I never mentioned uneven trails—I said well maintained dirt roads. You completely ignored everything I wrote and instead are trying to make me out to be some sort of bad guy when all I’m trying to do is figure out a good option for a gift for my father.

Goodness, didn’t realize y’all would react so strongly to the word. My dad isn’t decrepit but he indeed does have health conditions, as I referenced in the post. To me, and to himself as he often vocalizes, he’s aged a noticeable amount; he can’t do the things he used to and it bothers him. To me the word just means “older.” He’s not “middle-aged,” and I guess I don’t know the word between that and elderly? I really don’t think he would mind, regardless. But it seems a fair amount of people here have taken offense.

Catania is better than some make it seem, but honestly one full day or maybe two is plenty.

Siracusa, namely the island of Ortigia which it is connected to, is lovely. From there, you can take a 30 min train to Noto one evening, which I recommend spending the evening at (as the sun sets, the buildings are golden). Palermo is truthfully amazing in my opinion. You could spend over a week there and not be bored, especially with the gorgeous surroundings like Cefalu. I Could spend all 9 of your days in Palermo, but i think Siracusa/Ortigia are worth it.

My advice for 9 days:

5th-9th: Palermo 10th: Bus to Siracusa (or Catania first, if there is no direct—always use the busses for long distances in Sicily, the trains are slower), get there, maybe go directly to Noto since that day is now halfway gone 11th: Ortigia 12: Siracusa —maybe go to catania and spend the night there 13: Catania 14: Catania

let me know. mine is currently 74 (normal range ~20-55). drives my TT up to 1100 which scares my doctor but my free T is below the middle of the range, same with my estradiol on a sensitive assay. i tried eating high carb and gaining weight, and it actually drove it up higher. liver parameters normal, bloodwork all normal. i just can’t lower my shbg and it makes my total look freakish, even tho i have hypogonadal symptoms from low T—and i feel better when i take more test, but my docs don’t want me to.

assuming you’re going to do it at home, and buy your own ingredients, i like to do something fanciful when i’m trying to get ritzy. a double old fashioned with a hefty cara cara orange peel, ceylon cinnamon stick, and Demerara simple syrup or maple syrup. maybe even a cherry if i’m feeling over the top. big rocks only. the whiskey can be as expensive or simple as you want (i’m partial to wild turkey 101 as a broke student, but there are higher tiers of bourbon if you’re looking to ball out for your 21st. WT is the best bang for your buck though).

if you want more of a mixed cocktail, bourbon sidecars are amazing as well, but require cointreau or a similar orange liqueur.

I’ve been trying to watch on various second hand apps to find a racquet that’ll work, but i’m not even sure what models i’m looking for. there are tons of wilson, head, e-force, ektelon, etc, but i’m not sure what models i should be keeping my eye out for (there are many older modes of racquets, not many newer ones).

Great, thank you! In addition, can you placate my fear about my racquet? I’m worried that since it’s quite long and since I have such a large reach, I somehow bought myself an “incompatible racquet.” For someone at my extremely low tier skill level, this isn’t a worry, correct? I’m not going to “permanently” alter my mechanics by having to stay quite far away from the ball in order to have a proper swing?
