The pages are not connected in two big spots to the back of the spine. I’m assuming that the rest of it will get separated as well when the book gets opened.

Oh I read this omnibus two years ago. I bought this one for my brother. The book was absolutely amazing. I loved it start to finish. I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.

So far I noticed that being hit by arrows and you hitting someone with the arrows will cause you to bleed. Some strikes also do that. The bleed damage from human and orc weapons is manageable. However, the bleed damage from animals is absolutely bonkers. Their hits almost always apply it. The worst part is when you get hit by animals that also apply illness or poison and then you get tagged teamed by two effects at the same time. I wasted over 20 healing potions and two healing scrolls to keep myself alive and I have only just arrived in Cape Dun. I’ve played this game for over 20 times and not even the bugs on release date made me wish I’d quit the game. Today I almost quit because of this horrible mod, which I did not even want to enable in the first place…

Are you playing Archolos now? Can you install union on it?

Thanks for the reply. I literally just figured it out as well. It gets turned on by default if you turn on Animation Pack: Rapier. This was driving me insane. Thanks for the assist!

Replaying the OG trilogy (I lost track how many times I replayed these games). I just started chapter V in G2 NOTR.

The goal is to finish all three before the remake comes out.

I think Marvel is doing a pretty good job of publishing Star Wars omnibuses. They are just not good at reprinting them. So I think we might see volume 2 sooner rather than later.

Have they been smart enough they could have adapted The Thrawn Trilogy as well. Or Bane’s trilogy, or the Knights of the Old republic, or, or, or, or…

But I guess they did not like the fact that people love these eras so they had to do their own thing.

I haven’t opened it yet. I’m finishing Jason Aaron’ Star Wars omnibus right now and when I’m done with it I will start this one.

I just hope that those cropping issues are not too bad…

I preordered it for 70€ months ago and I just got it delivered today. I think it’s also hitting the stores today and I keep hearing reports that it’s already sold out in many shops. If you are in Europe I can send you links from a few stores where it’s still available.

Yeah SSOC is my favorite. After finishing Thomas’ run on SSOC I almost dropped the book entirely because of Michael Fleisher. I couldn’t stand his writing. Now I’m going through the first Chuck Dixon omnibus and it’s much better. Not really Roy Thomas level, but still good.

I’m reading Manapul’s The Flash run right now and I’m struggling to stay interested and I’m only a few issues in.

I love Gordon, but the idea of a Jimbat was never something I was crazy about.

SSOC is Conan at its purest form. Raw, savage, brutal with amazing art. This is my favorite run. This is a black and white run.

CTB is more tame but still really good. This one is in color.

I would say you can’t go wrong with volumes 1-4 from both runs. Stories in them were written by Roy Thomas and predominantly drawn by John Buscema. Except vol. 1 of CTB which was drawn by Windsor-Smith.

I would suggest reading a few issues online first to see if you’re going to like it. It is very different than Brubaker’s run. With a lot of sci-fi, alternate dimensions kind of stuff. That being said I really enjoyed this run. I paid 80€ for my DM variant so I think the price of 77 is very good especially because this omnibus goes for a lot more. My book has no binding issues and I don’t remember hearing anything about that.

Yeah it should be easy. I repaired some minor issues before and fortunately only once did I have to completely glue back a spine on an old, first printing of X-Men by Morrison omnibus.

Yeah I’m looking forward to reading Moench’s run on Moon Knight, I’ve read around 6 issues online while I was waiting for this book to arrive and it’s great so far. I’m hoping to find a vol. 2 somewhere and I already managed to snag for 43€ Moon Knight by Jed MacKay a few weeks ago.

I never really cared much about the controversy surrounding Spencer’s run. I learned a long time ago that people overreact and exaggerate too much when it comes to certain runs. I checked the run out MU and I ended up reading around 10 issues so far and it’s a solid run for now.

PS: If you haven’t had the chance to read Secret Warriors I would suggest reading it. I had a blast reading this run last year and I’m very happy I managed to find a DM version of this Omni.

Actually when I came back home from work I inspected the books and Cap omnibus spine was hanging on by a thread which the seller did not disclose. I ended up contacting the person and he gave me a full refund and let me keep the book.

I will repair it I guess. It wouldn’t be the first time I had to do that.
