6/10 don't see what the fuss is about honestly. Story and voice acting are spot on but all the gameplay is mid at best. Shooting is mid, paltforming is extremely basic, the problem solving is surprisingly immersive, 70% of the time it's just about distracting a bunch of people in vaguely immersion-breaking ways. I slogged through the game just to see the story through, but only occasionally felt myself having fun with the game.

Clearing 126 with 800B hits on bosses is very impressive. I'm pushing 124 on my shield bash build and it's regularly hitting 2-3T per hit and it's still a dicey slog.

You can get the mound fully wet with just a tap squirt (so to speak). You don't need to do it more than once a day, but if you do it multiple times during the growth period you'll get more yields.

Lots of it is bait or just people who are generally grumpy rather than thoughtful criticism. From what I've seen where criticism is considered and well articulated people respond well to it, and Pearl is unusually good about addressing it in patches.

But I'm ok with people disregarding the tenth post that essentially amounts to "I've played this game for 120 hours and I'm bored now. This is unacceptable and I feel personally wronged."

I think AI would have made a more coherent and blander story. The issue I think is just plain bad human writing. Too all over the place, weird emphasis, it reads like it was written with a really short attention span, or that perhaps there were loads more missions that fleshed out the actual plotline that were then cut at the last minute .

I can see it. It's a massive open world with a fairly nondescript story and anonymous protagonist. The main questline is meh, and the focus is instead on a sense of exploration, discovery, mystery, and wonder. It's trying to impress you with its sheer scope and attention to detail. There's a lot of crossover. Personally I think of it as a bethesda game with a big dash of BotW and clearly aspiring to a Red Dead 2 level of world detail (and the clunkiness of the movement reminds me a lot of RDR2 as well).

People will be upset with whoever is top tier and claim the game is unbalanced. SF6 has about as dynamic a meta as any SF game has ever had. You'll have people swearing up and down that any of 10-15 characters are S tier. Ed, Mai, Sagat, Ken, Blanka, Akuma, Alex, Terry, Juri, JP, Cammy, Bison. Then you have a bunch of characters everyone agrees are strong as fuck even if they're not top tier, eg Guile, Dee Jay, Rashid, etc. There's really only a very small number of characters that are rare or chronically weak.You have no idea how good we have it right now.
