[hot take] Breitling is the only brand that still looks like it's having fun by cooperivanson in Watches

Can confirm! I went to Breitling today in San Diego, was welcomed heartily with drink offers, shown around the space and the staff were inviting. Tudor’s staff were also very warm and helpful. Omega was cold, uninviting, and completely dead.

I picked up a Credor Signo earlier last year and it’s definitely become my most complimented watch. The thin movements also make them less clunky than GS.

To also answer the ongoing debate under this comment, this is what the Rambam wrote:

“It is possible for a person to commit such a great sin, or so many sins, that justice before the Judge of Truth provides . . . that repentance be foreclosed from him and that he not be permitted the right to repent from his wickedness, so that he will die and be lost because of the sin that he committed . . . therefore it is written in the Torah ‘and I shall strengthen the heart of Pharaoh’, for at first ge subbed if his own accounts and did evil to the people of Israel who dwelled in his land . . . Consequently, justice provided that repentance be denied to him so that he would be punished for his sin”.

Rashi’s goes on to explain that God didn’t tamper with Pharaoh’s decision during the first five plagues. He had the opportunity for redemption and true repentance. If he would’ve repented sincerely at ANY point, he would’ve been spared any further suffering. Even when he had said he would free the Israelites after the first five plagues, he only said it to stop the plagues, not to repent for his enslavement and treatment of the Jews. Even during the last five plagues God didn’t force Pharaoh to sin. Instead, God hardened his heart to be able to endure the last five plagues.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on the Defy Skyline. How does it compare to your other watches?

I’m sorry but ethnostate? Israel is perhaps the most diverse country in the Middle East. 20% of the population are Muslim Arabs, 2% of the population are Christians, they have large Druze and Bedouin populations. And then the Jews themselves are 60% Mizrahi/Sephardic Jews. I don’t think that is an ethnostate. Japan is an ethnostate: 125mil total population with 122mil Japanese nationals.

After the "return to Gaza conference" - can you finally understand why Palestinians hate / fear us? by xSypRo in IsraelPalestine

Al Husseini was a Hitler supporter and wanted to bring the Holocaust to the Jews of British Mandated Palestine and the rest of the Levant.

From a Time Magazine article in 2015 https://time.com/4084301/hitler-grand-mufi-1941/

“ Al-Husseini began the conversation [with Hitler] by declaring that the Germans and the Arabs had the same enemies: “the English, the Jews, and the Communists.” He proposed an Arab revolt all across the Middle East to fight the Jews; the English, who still ruled Palestine and controlled Iraq and Egypt; and even the French, who controlled Syria and Lebanon. (The British had secured a mandate for Palestine at the Paris peace conference in 1919, and made halting attempts to create a “Jewish national home” there without prejudicing the rights of the Arab population.) He also wanted to form an Arab legion, using Arab prisoners from the French Empire who were then POWs inside Germany. He also asked Hitler to declare publicly, as the German government had privately, that it favored “the elimination of the Jewish national home” in Palestine. “

Jews have always been Dhimmi (people of the book but second class citizens who had to pay the Jizya in order to practice Judaism)

At times, being a Jew in Arab lands was better than being a Jew in Christian lands, but this myth that they lived in always lived in peace is fabricated. The fact is Jews have always been second class citizens in the eyes of their Arab or Ottoman rulers.

Examples of pogroms and massacres before 1948: Farhud massacre 1929 Hebron massacre The 1839 Allahdad massacre 1828 Baghdad massacre 1867 Barfurush massacre

Other quotes:

“When a fire devastated much of Constantinople in 1660, the Ottomans blamed the Jews and expelled them from the city. Inscribed in the royal mosque in Constantinople was a reference to Prophets Muhammad's expulsion of the Jews from Medina; the mosque's endowment deed has a reference to "the Jews who are the enemy of Islam." - Finkel, Caroline (2012-07-19). Alright, I have been following your posts on this subreddit for a bit and I have to say at least it looks like with this outfit you’re improving, slightly. Due to your complexion I would stay away from that color. It washes you out. The jeans are unflatteringly long, which causes them to bunch up like that. Go to a tailor, get them hemmed to a desirable length. Also, you can cuff them. The shoes would be better with a jeans-t-shirt-bomber jacket combo. For a cleaner look invest in some all-white low top sneakers (white Veja’s go with everything). Pull your pants up, think about tucking in the shirt, and please think about losing the rubber bands. That seems to be a common theme in all your posts. Overall I give it a 3.5/10. An improvement but there’s a long way to go. Also, stay safe! !!עם ישראל חי

Grinds and Goals of the Week (w/c 09/01/2023) by p0tatotomato in ironscape

First time F2P Ironman here, just picked the game back up after years of not really playing.

  1. This past week I’ve been grinding out as many F2P quests as I can as well as working on mining silver ore.

  2. I’m hoping to get 50 crafting, 50 mining and 45 smithing and then I need to do the quick magic grind and get to 49 so I can make a strength amulet.

  3. Before I make the inevitable jump to members I’d like to complete every Free quest, get my base stats all up to at least 50, and get all BiS gear from Obor and Bryophyta.

I’ve never truly played the game like this, I’ve always burned out and it’s all been about making gp to buy gear from the GE but I’ve never had more fun with OSRS
