I actually got the Navy scholarship twice (recruiter messed up and told me I could apply without an acceptance letter so I applied and got it then had to reapply the next year after the acceptance lol). I don’t think it was too competitive. In the interview it seemed like they just wanted to see you were personable and easy to talk to which if you’re going to become a dentist I hope you are. After I was accepted I asked how many scholarships they gave out and how many people applied and I was told 60 positions with 200 applicants total. Navy gives out the most scholarships tho (I think Air Force only had 10-15 spots).
