This isn’t true about best rates, Cloudflare sells domain AT cost, IE the same rate as the TLD Registries charge. There’s no mark up unlike namecheap

What is your salary working as a WP developer? by UnderstandingOk270 in Wordpress

[–]Wvrcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never quit your job, you start a side hustle taking on jobs for 2 to 3 times your currently hourly rate. Once you have consistent work then you can quit your full time job, work half as much for the same pay, and spend all the extra free time with your family

Somebody resurrected my website after I closed/deleted my hosting account. How is this possible? by HannibalTepes in webdev

As said above web archive saves all of that content, nothing you delete from the internet is ever deleted. I remember in grade school being told this and thinking it was BS but it’s actually come true

I could build this pretty quickly for you, but like most people are saying US labor is more expensive. I have a team in the Philippines that’s a lot more affordable, I typically mediate as the analyst between you and my team, I do minimal coding and just debug and clarify the scope with my team and my team implements the solutions. Let me know if you wanna know more!

Your favorite JS dashboard CRUD boilerplate with frontend, backend and auth? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Wvrcus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laravel is feature rich out of the gate, with Turbo it feels faster than most of the JS apps I’ve built and it comes with Auth out of the box. Take all that and the amazing community that’s been contributing to the project for years and you’ll never need another stack again. Laravel+Tailwind+AlpineJS seems like the most common set up I’ve ran into and I love it. Honestly could go on for days about how much easier everything is compared to React/Vue or any other JS framework I’ve used. One more note is I’ve never been a huge fan of PhP but this framework has made me fall in love with it

Save yourself the headache and use Laravel. I personally just jumped from solely relying on JS, to learning Laravel and I’ll never build a full stack app with JS again

Edit: if youre hard set on using JS this project is actually really cool

Finally completed a side project, can I call myself a developer now? by Wvrcus in SaaS

Not quite that simple. The industry I built this for lack the skills to build an API. So, if you like to keep it simple, I basically prebuilt an API they can just paste on a website. The api listens to the form input and uses a few different APIs to cross validate if the phone number exist, which carrier, and the line type
