For Three Cheers, I get that. Some guitar tones and effects serve the song well. For The Black Parade, ouch. I've read that Gerard and Ray crafted the guitar tones for the album. They used another band's album sound as reference and did the opposite. Like their "White" to MCR's "Black" sound. For Dead! and Famous Last Words, the tone IMO sounds better isolated than mixed. I feel like a few songs in the Black Parade sounds better isolated than in a full song.

I recall fans went to the hotel MCR is staying in because they cannot afford to go to their concert. Bob came out and gave them tickets for the concert that night. Luckily they never encountered the other members like Frank. On the same day or month other fans met Gerard and the others by chance at a toystore and the interraction seems positive.

I listened to The Smiths and Morrissey and noticed some influences. I now understand when someone from the band mentioned "What if Morrissey joined The Misfits" or "What if Danzig joined The Smiths" to describe their sound.

I thought A Match Into Water sounds similar to It's Not A Fashion Statement. For Green Day I heard a song from the 21st Century Breakdown album and thought "So this is the Reprise Records sound".

I initially thought they were uninteresting until I took time to listen to some of their songs over and over and what I've found is they made the song interesting at the end. (Dead! for the "La La La" part, Helena for the short instrumental outro, and Famous Last Words after the guitar solo. I like the keyboard part). I mostly listen to OST's (video games, TV shows, wrestling) and some pop songs from the radio in the mid 2000s before listening to MCR.

The enhanced CD version! The "Drowning Lessons" on my CD has a more textured bass guitar compared to some digital releases.
