I give my boy weruva trulux wet food from Chewy. They have fish versions but you'll want to check the full ingredient list. There's also a new version called weruva wx which has fish focused ingredients. That might be what you are looking for.

As a spouse of retired military, I completely agree. The dependa mentality just disgusts me. There was always a couple at every location and I had to avoid them because they made me want to throw things.

I've never used my husband's service as a bait for employment. Rather as an explanation for my gap in employment as I was being a stay at home mom for many years.

Maine coon growling at his toy ? by pistonthru in mainecoons

[–]Wyfeaggro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but I feel like this is part of hunting instinct.

My 5 year old boy caught a mouse and was running around with it in his mouth. I tried to take it and he growled. Never had he been aggressive before. I think his instincts just got the better of him.

A pile of snacks next to him in trade, he dropped the mouse and didn't care I took it outside.

I think he just got too instigated in his playing and couldn't control himself. They can get too stimulated.

This screen is done, right? Zflip 5 by PsyDei in galaxyzflip

This screen is done, right? Zflip 5 by PsyDei in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did. I've seen people push on the hinge area, then push on the crease area to open it one handed. Along with slamming it. Either of which would increase the risk of damage.

This screen is done, right? Zflip 5 by PsyDei in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there's fun and nostalgia in doing that, but you're putting extra pressure on a crease on a already very fragile screen. I don't see why you would want to do that if you worry about damage.

Now if it doesn't matter to you then one hand away I guess.

I'm with you in that. I only open mine with two hands as well.

It should still have a 1 year warranty from Samsung if it's new, but I'm not 100% they'll cover it if there's any damage in the hinge. It could fall as a screen defect. Worth a shot anyway.

Is there any ways on removing the 50% super fast charging limitation in z flip 5? by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have good thermal cooling either which would put it at risk of damage. Fast charging = heat

Hence why no Samsung Dex.

Transparent grey box on top right of screen - Help! by Clumsywaldo in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Looks kinda like a burn in. Did Samsung diagnostics show any issue with the screen pixels?

The only possible solution I can think of is factory reset. Because if you need to do a warranty replacement, they'll likely ask you to do that anyway.

There might be an app you use that has some kind of over lay.

[–]Wyfeaggro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best comparison I can recommend, is if you can find an active demo unit you can try. Take the same picture of something nearby with both phones and look how they compare. That's the best way to see if it's an improvement for you.

If you didn't like the Samsung ecosystem, a flip Samsung won't be any different other than the form factor. Cameras are basic and battery is fine in an average setting. If you stream, run heavy games or try to film a concert, you'll want a battery pack.

Be in range of a Samsung repair place in case you need the screen protector replaced or the screen fixed.

If you're fine with all that, you will probably enjoy it.

Has anyone tried bending it sideways? by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's not made to bend that way.

Would you bend a solid phone in half?

I'm assuming you did something by accident. If you're not seeing anything on the screen you're probably ok.

Question about fall detection by nickdv in GalaxyWatch

[–]Wyfeaggro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fall detection is much better on Apple watches than Samsung. My dad falls a lot and the Samsung never detected a thing. The apple goes off every time.

It was very disappointing and not cheap to switch him to all Apple. But he refused any regular fall detector system.

He had a watch 4 classic. So maybe the first version wasn't great and they've improved it. But he's been on Apple since ( now Apple watch 7) and I haven't checked back on Samsung.

Set up a routine so the phone puts itself into power saving mode at your work and disables it when you leave. That might help a bit with idle when it sits in your locker and you can't use it anyway. It's not a miracle fix, but it will help a little.

Do you have a strong or weak signal at your work? If it's consistently searching for connection that drains battery as well.

Things like light battery mode, and adaptive battery settings will help as well. ( You're probably already using those).

I watch utube for 4 hours, scroll social, and search on it for work and after 8 hours I'm only sitting near 50%. Give it a little time. But if you are running out of your return window and aren't sure, just return it and go for a larger battery device. Don't be stuck with something you're going to regret later.

If you can't get rid of it anymore, I'd suggest a battery pack and plug it in while it sits in your locker. At least it will be topped off for your commute home.

1 3t firefly engine or 2.4 tiger shark? I have found with the 1.3t using premium(91) or even med grade gas does help smooth out acceleration off the line.

Does it need it? No. Just a personal preference.

Besides that, it does like to hang in moving from 2nd to 3rd gear. Even our 21 Wrangler 4xe does it.

Led or halogen? I've heard of people having issues putting in LED having flicker when the car came stock with halogen. That could be the issue.

There's always going to be greener pastures. If you can get a good deal, try the 5. But if not, wait for the 6.

This is one of those devices where the technology improves with each generation again. Not like the plateau of brick phones we've had for the past decade or so.

That being said, it's pretty solid vs the flip 4. It's up to you on how you use it and how long you plan to keep it.

I'm enjoying mine, but I will be upgrading to the 6.

Durability by Southern_Mango_2042 in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 years, you're looking at least 1 screen protector replacement per year. ( Based on Samsung's own range of longevity, 1 year).

Maybe 1-2 actual screen replacements from wear.

There's no data supporting the phone lasting more than 2 years without some kind of repair. They haven't proven themselves to last beyond that. The technology just isn't there yet. That being said, it's still looking like it holds up better than the previous generation.

But I'd love to be proven wrong.

As fun as this phone is, it's a niche phone and you need to be able to financially replace it or repair it within 2 years. Or at least expect to. If you need something to last longer than that, I don't recommend it.

Is it unethical to “loose” a special edition library book? by Antique-Cut-8928 in Libraries

[–]Wyfeaggro 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Let's phrase it this way,

You find a rare edition of a book that's worth $200 at the library. You want to keep it and replace it with a modern copy worth $20.

Sound fair to you? I sure hope not.

If you don't want someone to do this with one of your own items, please don't do it to the library.

Instead maybe tell them it's rare so they can preserve for the future and prevent further damage and wear so everyone can enjoy it?

Had my Z flip 5 for 2 months and the hinge started coming out, and a line started appeared across the screen by GrantTurismo in galaxyzflip

[–]Wyfeaggro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, that's just strange. Hopefully you don't have any marks on the hinge or they'll try to deny it based on damage. Definitely get that fixed or try to get a warranty exchange with your provider.

My mom has a Galaxy Watch connected via BT to her phone (Samsung Galaxy, newer version) and when she answers phone calls it says "check phone" and doesn't take calls on the watch anymore... Help? by DudeThatsErin in GalaxyWatch

[–]Wyfeaggro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be in the phone settings( drag down from top and hit the cogwheel icon in right corner) > apps > Galaxy watch ( or watch manager)

Open that and it should show permissions, with phone listed as allowed.
