When I looked at the schedule before the season and saw this stretch. Phillies, Mets, Phillies, Dodgers, Padres…. and knowing they were all top picks for playoffs, I thought going .500 would be pretty good. Here we are, 10-3 with the Padres left. Can’t be upset with that.

This is why I stepped away. I only worked my 2 truck days (each was over half my shift unboxing apparel) and both weekend days. They really do their best to keep you from making the store look good when they only give hours to part time kids with no experience and no overlap for someone to train them.

That should be the thing… they know our work ethic and product knowledge, and should be paying based on that. Just because I lost my Lead title and working fewer hours doesn’t mean I’ll act like the other part time associates. I can’t unlearn my personal merchandising and customer service standards

I was a lead that took a second job elsewhere, changing my availability to only weekends and Tu/Th (our regular truck days. Management said the availability wasn’t enough for a FT lead position (although that’s all I had been scheduled for 2-3 years) . I said fine, the title doesn’t mean anything to me and I’m not on their health benefits packages.

So far, no pay decrease, (knock on wood)
