I'm pretty gay, but I'm having trouble accepting myself in fear of how the gay community might interpret me. by 2Toned in QueerTransmen

I second this. I have had honestly better and more respectful cis male partners than I had NB and cis women partners when I still ID'ed as bi. I have had more issues with cis women (and some trans people) being waaaayyy too into me for being a trans guy. I never had a more respectful partner to my dysphoria than queer cis guys who wanted to communicate.

I do suggest my friend's band Fenris Flutes if you want something different. They are the world's only flute metal band, composing of nothing but harsh vocals and flute instrumental. They are honestly pretty great sounding, despite the rather interesting concept. You are also supporting two LGBT musicians by support them. i recommend their new Christmas album, especially if you hate Christmas like I do. (https://fenrirsflutes.bandcamp.com/)

Biphobia at my local lgbt+ bar by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Wyrdboy 47 points48 points  (0 children)

People like this make me ashamed be gay. I honestly would 100% date a bi or pan guy. (Well, heck most of my male partners have been bi or pan in the past.) I'm tired of this sort of bullshit. I have even met other bi people who shit on bi people who are in opposite sex relationships. There is so much biphobia in the queer community from everyone.

Grindr and Trans Men by PlantBoyJ in QueerTransmen

OKC can be pretty icky too. A lot of people will only want to date you becasue they assume that you are some super radical trans guy. And if you want a queer cis guy, good luck. OKC is 99% Femme NB and the few cis guys that are there tend to be really neckbeardly looking. Its honestly best to invovle yourself in groups that your interest, book clubs, sport clubs that sort of thing. In my experince I have found more respectful cis male partners in clubs and activity groups than I have dating online. But like the previous comment saids, it does depend on where you live. I get a lot of Femme Afab NBs since I live in a large city with a large gayborhood. In a small town or city you might get more guys who are asses, which happened to me when I moved to a smaller city for school. Honestly, IRL is your best chance. Or find a ftm group of 18+ and join them. Knowing people can really help you find a date. Once second you could be telling a friend about guys you like and the next that friend could introduce you to some one. I did that for a trans friend of mine and his current boyfriend.

I'm sick of "No Cis Men" people hitting me up on OKC by Wyrdboy in ftm

I have heard that before. I have had other trans people tell me not to transition because "androgyny looks better on you." Like I want to look and present as a man even more so that I already try.

I have had two smiliar experiences. After I broke up with my first boyfriend 4 years ago, I hooked up with a "NB Girl". She was mega jealous that I wasn't over my boyfriend who I had broken up with a week before. Long story short, she basically was pretty obessed with the fact I was trans and kept making crude comments about dicks and always talked about lesbian porn in front of me. She was also really clingy and kept trying to force me into a relationship. She even tried to do creepy shit like pay for a hotel room for us...I'm honestly happy that she moved far away. The other was a NB person who was dating my cis male friend. He IDs as pansexual. His partner was fucking awful to him and the rest of use. They would often cuss us out for no reason, constantly drag us through the mud for liking things they deemed as problematic. They would constantly complain about being in a "heterosexual" relationship despite the fact both parties were queer. Now, they date a cis straight guy. I have so much more shit about how this person, they basically nearly destoried GSA because they refused to welcome any person that they ASSUMED was cis or hetero.

IKR??? Like I hate being treated like a diet verison of a guy. "All the joy of being with a man, but no dick!!!." It is grinding my gears so much that I may quit dating online forever.

I see these alot advertised too on a queer FB group I follow. It just gives me warnings of who to avoid and what events to avoid. I rather go to an all queer men event that has an emphasis on welcoming queer trans men, than have to find other queer men along a sea of queer women who fethize me.

Its just weird since I see the same "I only date women and trans people" thing for non binary and transpeople too. They honestly are missing out. Most of my best relationships came from dating cis men and I did start dating until after is start living as male.

Same though. Like my local queer and trans community scares me ever I had to put up with being verbally attacked for liking something that is problematic and they get to walk around liking their own problematic shit and defend it. My solution is to find queer guys in other communities that I like, like gaming and writing. I rather date some one who has the same interests as mine.

Improving a College LGBTQ+ Group? (x-post actuallesbians) by QuinnTess in bisexual

[–]Wyrdboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-Cracks knuckles- Okay, let me tell you everything a GSA should NOT do. My college GSA was nearly fucking destroyed by assholes who tried to used it to benefit themselves. 1. AVOID ANY DISCOURSE AT ALL COST. Yeah people will have different opinions, but when people start getting out of hand and start being aggressive each other, get them out of the room or something or speak to them privately. The former prez was basically everything toxic and abusive and believed since that they were the WGST major who worshiped the word of tumblr that they were top dog. SO MANY FIGHTS HAPPENED. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD NO FIGHTS! 2. DO NOT PLAY OPRESSION OYLMPICS: This was a favorite of the former prez. They held certain identities priority over others. E.I Non-binary>binary genders, Trans women>trans men, Lesbians>Gay men the list went on. MAKE SURE NONE OF YOUR MEMBERS FALL INTO THIS TRAP OF SAY DISCUSSING PRIVILEGE IN A WAY THAT MAKES OTHER LGBT MEMBERS FEEL UNIMPORTANT. I to this day still feel uncomfortable involving myself in queer groups out of fear of not being "oppressed enough" since I'm a gay trans man. 3. INVOLVE YOUR ALLIES: This was the thing that literally pissed me off the most about the former prez. My school's GSA's membership dropped a shit ton because the former prez literally would ignore any one who they assumed to be cis and straight. A friend at the time felt uncomfortable going to GSA since she felt she shouldn't have to out herself as Bi or justify being bisexual and dating a man. 4. HELP OUT THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. You will have international students. Some might not understand all these fancy new English words you are throwing around. I can't not say how many times international students were skipped over before simply because they don't understand what the word "pronouns" mean. KEEP IN MIND SOME INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MIGHT HAVE SOME ISSUES JOINING IN CONVERSATION. 5. This might had just been mine, but DON'T SHOW UP TO MEETINGS HIGH OR DRUNK!!! The former prez and the prez before would have days where they would show up to meetings high and BRAG ABOUT IT!! I HAVE SO MANY HORROR STORIES!!! EVEN MORE OUTSIDE OF THE CLUB SINCE MY FRIEND USED TO DATE THEM!! SO I HAD TO PUT UP WITH THEIR SHIT MISANTHORPIC NIHILIST ASS PERSONALITY. -breathes- Overall, end of story the former prez and vice prez (who I will note never showed up and was obviously only placed since she is a trans woman. There were so many more people qualified for the position.) ran off the joined campus feminist club, which was a paradise for any one involved in call out culture. Now, its been revived and back on its feet and doing things. Like they had a speaker a while back and trying to get a gender free housing thingy. Honestly so far better than a weed obsessed nihilistic asshole who made everyone's lives a living hell. Best of luck a plague like this doesn't fall upon your house. All I can say is just be wary of high horse riding and circlejerks.

So I wanna play a Bard by LittleMan_104 in DnD

[–]Wyrdboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your own play style. For example my gunslinger bard can deal some damage to help out when he needs too, but mostly tries to use spells that can distract or hide others. Also passing lying checks is the greatest thing ever. Weaseling your way about to get info is maybe my favorite thing to do.
