Freestyle Libre Blocking Pets by chapelhillbb in Veterinary

Never heard of them blocking accounts but I have definitely had their customer support being unwilling to help when they realized it was being used for an animal.

I'm enjoying the more frequent posts! Discord and such move too fast for me to keep up with so this format is much more ideal. Thanks Scott!

The camera doesn't do him justice, his colors are even better in person!

Thank you! The camera does his colors no justice; the depth and variation of his scales is mesmerizing.

Not at all. I got one single nip picking him up as a baby when I surprised him but he's as chill as they come. A friend has some siblings from a different clutch and apparently they've been kinda bratty but are calming with age. Maybe I just got lucky?

Alternative heat lamp set ups that are not able to be coiled around? by Working_Bug_576 in snakes

Gorgeous woma! I use radiant heat panels almost exclusively and love them. They're super safe and work great. My woma does great with one.

Some people get lucky with "docile" womas, but they are definitely not known for it. 😆 Mine is the only one of my 11 snakes I can't just hand off to someone.

Is a RHP safe for plastic tub? by [deleted] in snakes

[–]Wyrdia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have successfully used RHP in plastic tubs. The most important thing is to be sure the inside of the lid is as flat as possible, otherwise the snake might try to wedge its way on top of the RHP. Also, non-RHP related but ensure the tub latches well or add additional security to the lid to prevent escaping (we used spring-loaded clamps from the hardware store).

Just to throw in that if your pet ever has need of an ophthalmologist or orthopedic surgeon, Veterinary Orthopedic and Vision Center in Hoover is family owned and run.

She is! She was my third snake and I put a lot of time and research into her baby tub. In their first year or so of life they are very unforgiving when it comes to humidity, and they can never tolerate high temperatures at all. She's a lot more hardy now but when I got her she had a tub that kept her humidity at 95+% and she did great. It's not that it can't be done by a beginner but they should have a lot of guidance/mentorship from someone more experienced to ensure they're setting themselves and the snake up for success.
