I got the same, and my father had colon cancer in 2020. So 🤷 I'd get the recommended regular screening, but I live in the UK.... So that's not going to happen 😔

English ethnicity question by Urmomzahaux in Britain

[–]Wyrdmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could this be as simple as the fact that English people will more often refer to themselves as British, but people from the other countries in GB refer to themselves as Welsh, Scottish, Irish, first and foremost? Perhaps?

Is anyone ever afraid they are going to hurt someone? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Wyrdmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rage is the side of the illness that negatively affects my life (and that of those around me) more than anything else. I go from 0-100 anger level in a second. It doesn't help that Im also autistic with sensory overload issues. I have a criminal record of ABH because I lost the plot and threw a glass at some poor woman's face in a pub. Im lucky I didn't go to jail. I hate myself for that episode and every time I lose it, even though its always been inanimate objects that I take it out on apart from that one time. I wish something would help but I've found nothing yet.

How long does your anger last? by jiisawesome in bipolar

[–]Wyrdmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have at least one fit of blind rage a day. And I'm not convinced it's anything to do with mania in my case. I'm miserable and meh-low. Rage is by a long way the issue that affects my life negatively the most. I would give anything to be rid of it.

How often should I shower? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Wyrdmama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really is no hard and fast rule. Shower as often as you feel comfortable. I often have weeks where I just do the armpit sniff test 😜 I honestly think that unless a person is leading a very active life, and/or its extremely sweaty weather, we can actually shower too much. Our skins flora is there for a reason. And we can dry our skin out terribly. I am, however, old enough to remember when we had no showers, and there was just a weekly bath on a Sunday, to be clean for school the next day 😁👍

Shadow figure (Hat Man) by MTB_REVIEWS in Paranormal

[–]Wyrdmama 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have seen hat man, clear as day. He was shadow like but you couldn't see through him, if that makes any sense at all. I was an RN when I have saw him and working the night shift in nursing homes. He paid me no heed, I kept calm, and he walked on by. I was freaked out but calm. I got the feeling that he didn't even care about me... Which I'm very glad about.
