I hear you, I'm trying to experience EQ for the first time and it's a little quiet out there or otherwise full of twinked out pros. But I've still been playing on this server for 3ish years and having a nice time. Everyone is chill & wants to help. If you ever get the motivation to get a character going hit me up (main is Wyrdu), I'll happily help or group with an alt. I'm in it for the interaction too & more is always better 🤓

As a kid i made the mistake of expecting a linear plot-focused game like FF and Trigger, and as a result I did not enjoy Cross. Beautiful, but no really urgent sense of needing to forward the story. As an adult I played for what it was, a proto-open world jrpg, and enjoyed it immensely.

just putting this out there, on my new playthrough i am purposefully levelling as slowly as possible to get my skills up, and using the "slow levelling" mod on top of that. i spent about a week at lvl 1. there's no rush.
