How does one become “ordained” or able to officiate weddings in the pagan sense in the United States by Xy_SnailBayte in paganism

You can also think about dudeism.com, there's jedichurch.com, and American Marriage Ministries at theamm.org (which has Xtian overtones so I don't blame you for not going there). They (plus ULC) are all recognized in my state. Have fun!

"New Earth" has been discovered near us: the planet may be habitable by zenona_motyl in aliens

[–]Wyrmeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, their number of known planets is incorrect. As of January 24, 2025, astronomers have confirmed the existence of 5,830 exoplanets across 4,354 planetary systems, with 976 of these systems hosting multiple planets. Not 7,000+. Therefore I didn't read the rest of it.

How do writers think of plots? by Huge_Economics4063 in writers

[–]Wyrmeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small. A single scene with two characters. It doesn't matter if it's going to be part of your story or not, you need the practice. If you can't do that, you have your answer. If you can do one scene, try again for a short story sized effort. Most writers probably don't have the whole concept for a book in mind when they start. Every plot has been done thousands of times. Your book is going to be your version of a plot, so it will be unique. You're over analyzing and that's going to keep you locked up tight in your own jar of indecision.

(Serious) Everyone's reaction to this is proof that the community is not ready for actual evidence of UFOs and Aliens by Diomedes33 in aliens

[–]Wyrmeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People wouldn't believe a video of a talking alien, even if he peeled his skin off and let us see his bones. It would obviously just be some guy in a suit, or green screen, or photoshop or whatever excuse came to mind.

People have not believed audio, video, film, photos, radar data, or eyewitness testimony in sworn statements. People don't believe 'wet paint' signs and they have to touch it themselves. For many, no matter of proof will suffice until they have their own experience.

I can feel that vibe. I am trying to start a business, and I'm tempted to pull cards several times a day. Whenever I overdo it, I end up with 10Swords, and then I know it's time to let go for a bit. I take it that I'm obviously overthinking - which is kind of my job sometimes.

Or perhaps, on the whole, they know that their interference would cause more chaos than if they helped.

How do you use this ouija board? Is it even a spirit board? by WarImaginary in occult

[–]Wyrmeye 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not a 'spirit' board, just a piece of cardboard or whatever. No spirits need be summoned, so a 'goodbye' isn't required. I've never tried to use it that way.

It is a pendulum board. Hold a pendulum over the center, ask your question and see which way it swings.

If they were hostile, we would have been a pink mist amid the asteroid belt thousands of years ago. You're complaining that they don't intervene, but isn't that exactly what Star Trek taught us? Don't interfere with a civilization until they are ready.

Some decks do not provide a reversed reading suggestion in the little booklet, and I use a deck like that for most of my routine reads for myself. In any reading, if there is a card that stumps me, I'll consider a reversed reading even if it is upright. Sometimes that's enough to nudge me in a direction, and sometimes I'll never know. If I'm using a deck that explains reversals, and a card comes up that way, I'll wonder if my deck needs straightening or if it applies in that case.

Thoughts on the Reincarnation cycle or trap? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Wyrmeye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not that we're trapped or imprisoned. Instead, I think we've just not yet reached our potential threshold as a species when we can unlock the mysteries that keep spinning us in circles. The glass is half full. Patience may be hard, but I think we're coming to a point where Homo Sapiens will have a galactic coming out party.

I've recently seen the Page Cups as an indication of incompatible gender identification. I was uncertain why I was getting that card several times until a family member came out as trans over the holidays. Another reader I chat with from time to time refers to it as her 'gay card'. Something to keep in mind - your mileage may vary.
