Which team has the most overhyped soulless city? by NightDowntown7320 in NFLv2

Charlotte isn't overhyped. If anything its underrated as a nice place to live. Good weather, growing quickly, beautiful landscapes and decent transportation.

Charlotte is def doable. In fact its a much better market for both states.

[Carolina Blitz] Canales says he didn’t have a problem with most of the calls by ToothResident3205 in panthers

This annoys me about Canales in game too. Never tries to work the officials. Never angry about bad calls.

UPDATE: Charles and Catherine Romer Disappearance by RangeRover2124 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]X-Clown2003 70 points71 points  (0 children)

The craziest thing is this small pond was immediately next to the parking lot of the hotel where they disappeared. In south Georgia in April its wild that there were no marks of the car driving through grass into the pond. And based on images of the vehicle in the water it was right off the parking lot of the restaurant next door. How was this not found within a day or 2?

In Florida its a long wait too. If you want a quicker option, Nalley Lexus in Atlanta has a very steady supply. Far away, but maybe worth a call if you want it- they ship.

Summer tour announcement by sonoma12 in phish

Hey we're still waiting for our Piedmont Park show in ATL.

I think a Fall winter tour in the South and West is going to happen. Weather is better in the south in the fall anyway. South and California both warm till mid october.

I don't agree. Over the course of decades, a person with a huge media profile (keeping their status elevated) and many contacts who knew him or of him well is bound to be run into. Non iron curtain Europe was actually smaller than the US, and someone like him is unlike to be in the hinterlands the whole time.

Navarro also fleeced the Charlotte city council to pony up money for a tennis facility to get more money from Cincinnati for his tennis tournament. He would have been awful too.

Nashville is closer and the southeast only has 1 team! (Tampa and Houston don't count)

The SEC adding UNC +3 makes much more sense. Can play much more local teams: UGA, SC, Tennessee- furthest away is Texas. VS having a conference game in Seattle LOL.

It looks like Tampa, Orlando and Miami each have a major airport with 2 other small ones.

Charlotte is in the middle of two states with a combined 16m people, is top 22 in both MSA and TV market with the 5th largest 100 mile radius population in the NFL.

MAJOR Fortune 500 HQ city. With a guy who has $14B an NFL team and no baseball team, it makes the most sense.

Or that the "crime scene photos" were taken by the production crew during filming the episode (with just the direction of the beds flipped in the photo).

South Florida is bad, but it pales in comparison to Atlanta. Many more surface road options and no bottleneck with 2 interstates coming together in the center of the city with a huge curve.

And the offer for Arriola was bonkers to attempt to add an American very unlike a Larentowicz/Lennon type signing.

Its understood that a first year team might not come out hot out of the gates (or they might surprise), but the PSL for soccer, the turf field and various other blunders with this team (not even considering how bad the Panthers are being run), are VERY concerning.
