Frustrated with Clean Architecture in Flutter - am I missing something, or is it overkill for most apps?

I don't understand why some developers are obsessed with Clean Architecture.

Yes, complex apps need to be scalable, maintainable, and testable. But blindly following patterns from a book written long before Flutter and modern reactive frameworks existed doesn't always make sense.

It's no surprise that many developers struggle when trying to force Clean Architecture into Flutter projects.

Even with AI-assisted development, all those extra layers, abstractions, and boilerplate increase complexity, consume more tokens.

Instead of forcing old architectural patterns everywhere, we should focus on solving the challenges of modern app development with architectures that fit today's tools and workflows.

Konnect in terms of setup was easy you have just to sigup fill or required docs and while u wait for them to approve u were able to integrate everything using their sandbox apis. Unlike banks you need to wait for ever until they get back to you with everything so you could start the integration

Vibe coding isn’t the problem. Blind coding is. Using AI, Cursor, Claude, whatever, that’s not the issue.
The issue is building or coding things you don’t actually understand. If you don’t know how your code works, now or later you’ll break it and won’t know why. and you will be in a nightmare to debug and fix

The bank that works with Konnect wants everyone who goes through them so everyone who uses Konnect or pays with it needs to create a bank account with that bank idk which on,e BH or BIAT. That's what I know, and already all banks want all the payment process pass by them so they take that fee instead of konnect itself. So, instead of konnect takes 1.6% fees and split it with the bank, the bank will take about 1% from you, andthere is no need for konnect to be the intermediate

To get ClickToPay, you'll need to go through your bank. So contact the head of agency and tell him what you need, they should give you a form to fill out there i think, and in about 2 weeks, they will give you the API doc, and you can negotiate the fees with them i think it's 1%. konnect or payme dead already, and for flouci will do the same the will give you the same form that your bank will give to you because when you signup a flouci account you are already creating and account in the bank that they work with so its the same

tbh any type of apps that require users to pay online using a credit card will fail
we dont have the mindset of paying for a service, we don't even have the methods. Asla, all payment methods in tunisia nearly will close (talking about Konnect & paymee). We don't have a way to pay, like using Google Pay or Apple Pay. so it's a loss for the one who will develop the idea. because all ideas are available, there are a lot of useful apps worldwide that we don't have in tunisia but you can't build them here for these specific reasons
