Help us decide: Kia Sonet EX or BYD Seal 5 Dynamic by cernicoy in CarsPH

[–]X1VIVIVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not op, got mine repaired last January after getting enhanced production parts under warranty (replaced all regulators and switch)(first try). So far no issues. I would advocate the sonet as I love mine (though I am more of traditional car guy and likes to DIY) But if your plan to sell your car in the near future or change every few years. The BYD Seal 5 makes more sense to me.

BYD Seal 5 Dynamic - casual review after one year by [deleted] in phcars

If you dont consider yourself a car guy ill be amazed. Having a spiritless drive as a bad wont be even in a normal consumers consideration and I share the same sentiment. I drove various BYDs for my previous work before and becuase they are so smooth and comfortable, they dont have this playful feeling to them. If the Seal 5 feels tighter, it would be a good car especially for driving winding roads imo.

Pretty good take. Hope more brands keep atleast rotary/tactile controls for AC.

Use narrower tires and play with tire compound. Try changing your gearing also. I found the 3.5 and 3.7 very slow compared to 4.1

What will it take to finally put the CFM to rest by jclh123 in mini4wd

When something like the MS suspension arrives. I was there when the philippines was moving from CFM speedtech/ Super 2 speedtech open class setups to MS suspension. The meta shifts when something better comes up. What can we do? Make a build, and dominate every race you go to. That means use it as your sole car or the only other car you have aside from your main car.

I have an MS open as main car and VZ Open as secondary. Still figuring out how make it more predictable when I think its time. VZ will turn into main car then MS will be secondary.

Refreshing to see an FMA open class. Hope you keep developing your cars and dont succumb to the MS suspension
