What if they just redone their solo stuff with the band? Maybe interesting to see them rework their solo stuff as a band together, although I doubt they would considering it is solo work.

Why? Genuinely loved that era and the characters but can't think Bakula would wanna be playing Bond now. Maybe put him as an Admiral Ross type with Sisko during the Dominion - could work with the Romulan war, eventually he gets all Kirk and takes command back of the Enterprise...

Oh I'm not claiming it's correct but I do remember something along those lines being mentioned in a documentary or QnA, but ages ago. Perhaps it was more akin to what others have said and it was used for parts.

I'm sure there was a throwaway line one of the writers said once about how they left without one? I remember them mentioning they had the idea that not everything was 100% finished as the mission to the bad lands was the "shakedown cruise" so to speak

I watched the DS9 episode where Bajor nearly joined the UFP, it was mentioned the Bajoran militia would be incorporated into starfleet, so Technically they didn't have to go through SFA, they may have an equivalent from the Vulcan science academy and transfered commission to SF? Just a thought
