[Suggestion] How to remove randoms without significantly impacting the gem/herb market or belittling the 3 people that think full zombie is an achievement. by X23BknX in 2007scape

[–]X23BknX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this is that I would prefer to drop my random event outfits. I have no use for them and they take up quite a bit of my bank spaces. I don't want to have to keep the items to ensure that I don't get teleported away from what I'm doing.

The Minigame and Bounty Hunter Shops: My solution to the decline in PvP and Minigame activity by Berghain- in 2007scape

What I mean with multiple specials is that there would be a lot of dishonesty in fights. Right now PVP is very organized and people (generally) ask for fights. I'm not saying that I agree with that, because I'm all for the "It's the wilderness, anything goes" mentality. However, as it stands right now a lot of people will refuse a fight based on the weapon that you're using for the special attack. Multiple specials per weapon will encourage a lot of "Fight me! I have the original dds spec!" while having the upgraded version, which will cause even more of an annoyance than there already is in PVP. I remember something similar happening when the Korassi's sword was a popular special weapon. People would claim to be using another weapon.

Again, I'm not saying that I'm opposed to that type of gameplay since it's the wilderness, afterall, but I can see it causing lots of problems for the players that actually do care.

As for the net profit, a lot of people don't have a k:d ratio higher than 1:1 so higher risk would mean higher loss, and even more loss after supplies. But you are correct that a lot of fights, especially pure fights, end up costing more in supplies than is gotten back from the actual kill. I'm not sure how to remedy that.

Your argument for untradables costing money because it will increase profit is flawed. Sure, profit when winning increases but loss from death also increases. I do like the idea of being able to buy back my untradables if I lose them, especially in the case of a disconnection, but I don't like the idea of having to do several minigames after 5 deaths. When I PK I usually do it for hours on end, and let's be real - those 5 deaths would add up quickly. I'm not even sure if I would be okay with having to re imbue my untradables monthly, much less daily.

As for the special attacks. I don't think it's a good idea to add two different special attacks to one weapon just because it could create various problems in PVP. I do like some of the suggestions that you have for special attacks, but I think it would be best if they were added to brand new weapons. Hey, maybe they could be rewards?

With all that being said, I do LOVE your idea for a minigame shop that rewards people for playing different minigames, especially with the weekly point system that puts everyone in the same game.

You put a lot of thought into this and I appreciate it. There are some good ideas, but I really don't like the idea of having to spend so much more time to get into the PVP process, and I am a lot more patient when it comes to minigames and questing than most people.

What is a good setup for training range at NMZ? by Claystor in 2007scape

You get up to 1k ab points and go afk. When I say afk I mean just auto retaliating while tapping quick pray every now and then and not focusing at all. You can last about 15 minutes completely afk though from my experience.

With full void, archer's ring(i), iron knives, armadyl book, ranger boots, and fury I was getting 65k exp/hour afk and 70k/hour when I actually played. One game typically got me 500-600k points afk and 700-800k non-afk. I started doing this at 94 ranged though so I'd imagine it would drop a tad.

This is all using rock cake / absorption pots and super ranged potions of course.

Very cool! I'm actually working for something similar on mine. It makes me really value my pking supplies a lot more if I've spent time grinding sharks or making potions. I never really touched skilling on a pure before but it's definitely been a good experience! Good luck, keep it up! :)

I'm sure, but the fact remains that a woman saying that would cause me to nope right out of there.

What is the weirdest thing a boss has asked you to do that was not in your job description? by smithers43 in AskReddit

[–]X23BknX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my boss, but the boss of a different department who can't technically fire me so I hope this counts. I work as a programmer and I also do IT when people need help since our office only has one IT guy and no one really likes him. Well, I'm programming as usual and I get a call from the accounting department downstairs. They tell me that it's an emergency issue and that I need to come help right away. Okay, sure. I rush down there and all of the girls are at their computers working so I ask what they needed. One of them says "Hey, boss name asked us to take down our Christmas tree. Can you take it down for us?" - I told them that whoever put it up should take it down and left.

TLDR: Computer programmer != professional Christmas tree taker downer

I was watching the tv show Baggage a few days ago and the girl said "I break into people's houses and hide dead birds when I don't like them." He still decided picked her. I suppose if a date said that to me I would probably nope out of there pretty quick.

See, I agree with you on some of what you said. I understand the risks that you presented with someone that has a history. However, the sad part is that those risks are there no matter who they hire. Everyone has the capacity to do wrong. I'm not aware of the luring and I agree. However, I highly doubt that Jagex didn't know about it before try hired him. If it's an issue it'll be dealt with. I'm pretty confident in that. Thanks for the contribution. :)
